Isabel had been surprised when Alanna had turned up out of the blue. Surprised, but grateful. It was a distraction. One she needed after the events of the weekend.

Hoping Alanna would enjoy it, Isabel brought her over to the Strip where they slowly walked along, gawking at the hotels and the tourists.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to this place," Isabel said, waving away a guy handing out flyers for some club.

It should have been a simple night of sightseeing… Yeah, like that was ever going to happen. )

Isabel was grateful that Sarah had spent most of the day in studio, because it would have been too difficult to explain the letter that appeared out of her lamp and her tearful reaction to it. It took a while, but eventually she was able to write a note back.

She didn't get much studying done that night.

[Mostly establishy but open to phone calls, emails, etc...]
After the utter suck of the previous week, this week had actually started off pretty well. Mostly. But that was something she wasn't going to think about because it still made her frustrated.

Instead she'd think about the newest bout of Fandom Weirdness. The angels.

She'd spent the day at Pixie Dust making phone calls, writing a letter, and researching. Her research hadn't turned up anything useful, although fortunately other people had. Hopefully they'd be lucky in their searches. For now Isabel was more focused on worrying about who hadn't returned her calls.

She flipped on her TV but even bad reality TV wasn't going to help as a distraction tonight.
The wedding and all the associated festivities had been fun, but after a pleasant afternoon with Wyatt at the New England Aquarium, Isabel was more then glad to be back in Fandom.

She unpacked quickly and settled in for her weekly dose of Phil Keoghan.

The door was open.
Aside from being social and cooking on Friday morning, answering a letter and talking to Jaina today, Isabel had had a mostly quiet weekend as she worked on finishing up her college applications. They were finally done and stacked neatly in a pile on her desk, ready to be mailed in the morning.

To celebrate, Isabel flipped on the TV and got ready to watch the premiere of The Amazing Race. She'd missed Phil Keoghan.

The door was open.
Parents Weekend was over and it seemed like everyone had survived with only a minimal of damage. There had been tough parts, good parts, some very good parts, and an unexpected reunion of sorts.

After Monday's classes were over, Isabel went back to her room and got back to work on her applications.

She was going to be extremely glad when the whole process was over.

The door was open.

Work and being social meant that Isabel was more then content to spend Sunday quietly in her room doing some writing, reading for class and surfing around on the web.

Then the phone rang. Recognizing the number, Isabel flipped open the phone. "Hi Maria. What's up?"

For once, it was good news )

Thirty minutes later, Isabel hung up the phone and sat in stunned silence for a few minutes as the shock wore off. Then she let out a yell of pure glee, before starting to pack.

The door was open.
Despite having fun at Alec's party last night, Isabel wasn't in the greatest of moods as she wandered about her room straightening up. Her package hadn't been delivered and she'd had to say goodbye to both Alanna and Greg.

Grumbling as she put the last of her clean laundry away, Isabel flopped down on the bed and reached for a book.

The door was open.
A week that had included library duty, a night out at Caritas, movies with a friend, exams, and plotting a rescue mission meant that Isabel was pretty damn tired when she went to bed on Friday night. Unfortunately the conversation with Rikku brought memories and Isabel didn't actually get into a deep sleep until some time just before dawn. She slept till noon when the sound of yelling and chaos in the hallways woke her.

A quick look out her door found Isabel shutting it quickly. Beyond grateful to whatever quirk of Fandom left her still eighteen, she decided an afternoon with a good book was much better then weetiny chaos.

After a quiet afternoon, Isabel finally got out her camera and opened her door.
After the Perk, Isabel returned to her room, made a few handwavey phone calls and then tried to pack. If you can call randomly taking things in and out of drawers packing. Annie sat on the bed watching her, seeming to sense something was going on.

The door was cracked open.

[ooc: If you think you would have gotten a phone call, you did. I'm around but occasionally slowish due to RL through about 7 tonight.]
Isabel returned to her room after Hunting still vaguely surprised that Dick hadn't gotten them killed. She booted up the laptop and opened her email, absently looking at her inbox. That lasted about 2.4 seconds, basically long enough for her to realize the numerous messages from the same address were not a Nigerian money scam. Her screech could probably be heard down the hall.

Two hours later, Isabel was still sitting there, rereading the emails for what seemed like the millionth time.

The door was open.
After a quick trip down the hall and a weekend of being entirely too damn social, Isabel is ready for a quiet night in with a good book.

The radio's playing, Annie's curled up on her feet and the door is open.
Isabel had reached the point where studying just wasn't happenening any longer. A quick phone call had Parker appearing, loaded down with gifts.

The door was open, the carols were playing, Annie was wearing a wee Santa hat and Parker and Isabel were laughing like demented elves as they ate chocolate and drank eggnog while waiting for people to come by so they could hand out holiday presents.

[Assume handwavey phone calls telling their friends to stop by!]
After starting the day at the gym and then dropping Benjamin off at Sam's Isabel went off to Tortall for Alanna's Ordeal. The trip had been both fun and exhausting. She'd met some of Alanna's friends and had long talks with both Bel and Angel. But through it all she still worried about Cedric.

After unpacking and spending so quality time with Annie, Isabel stretched out on her bed and dozed off, only to wake when she heard her phone ring. She got to it just as the call went to voicemail, so she waited a minute then checked the message. She was halfway out the door when she realized that Jack probably would not want to be disturbed. Morning would come soon enough.

Smiling, Isabel went back to bed and quickly fell back asleep.
Isabel is finally feeling more like herself after Friday's argument with Max and last night's odd dream. That's why the door is open as she plays with Annie, laughing as she used her powers to send a ball of crumpled up paper around the room for the cat to chase.

[ooc: details of the conversation with Parker are NFB please!]
After a weekend that ranked as fairly hellish, Isabel was glad that this week had been fairly calm and at times rather amusing. The movies had been a bit chilly but it was worth it to spend time with her friends and snuggle with Greg. Ethics hadn't been too traumatic, and then there was the science field trip. She was still shaking her head over their trip through Jack's body.

The music was playing as Isabel sat on her bed and went through the information from War Theory and the door was open.
