To say the past few days had been busy was a bit of an understatement. But Isabel was glad that Max and her parents had made it for her graduation. Even if things did get a bit insane.

But her family was gone now, on their slightly longer trip home, and Isabel was taking the opportunity to sit and relax.

And wish like hell a new season of The Amazing Race was going to start anytime soon.

The door was open.
The trip to England had been just what Isabel needed. It was nice to spend time with friends. There'd been ogling and sight seeing. And phone calls. One of which still made her giggle even though she probably did owe Phoebe flowers.

But it was nice to be home.

Isabel picked up her phone and left Wyatt a message. She'd missed him she realized. And not just because she'd been away, but because of the awkwardness caused by his going evil and the whole being a guy for a day thing. She wanted to get past that. To get back to the way things were supposed to be. It would be the best birthday present she could give herself Isabel realized. Which would be why she was going around her room lighting candles. A little romance couldn't hurt.

Isabel had enjoyed catching up with people over Homecoming Weekend. But seeing all the graduates had reminded her once again how quickly things changed, and how quickly her own graduation was approaching, which meant she really needed to start figuring out what the hell she was going to do about college.

She had a mission. That mission meant Isabel spent most of Sunday in her room looking through various career planning websites and searching through college application requirements. It also meant she didn't have to think about the Homecoming dance and a decision she was going to have to make.

[ooc: Mostly establishy unless you don't mind SP since I will be sleeping soon.]
After getting a few hours sleep this morning and then a handwavey because OMG RL kicked my ass today trip to town to talk to the sheriff and have ice cream with Peter, Isabel returned to the cabin well before dark and sat down to write a letter.

Dear Jack )

Dear Jack,

Hi. I'm not sure if you'll ever read this, but I stopped by the post office today and Katara told me about the mailboxes. Supposedly they can reach any time, any place. So I'm hoping a letter addressed to Jack Harkness, c/o The Time Agency, 51st Century will actually reach you. A girl can dream can't she? But if you do get this? You better write back.

Workshops have been interesting. I crashed the flight simulator in flight. Oops... But I did get to have some fun on a help line in Stupid People. Yes, I'm taking a workshop called How to Deal With Stupid People. Sadly smacking them is not an answer.

I'm on library duty again. Tuesdays now. We'll be cleaning up after the mess caused by graduation and the school blowing up for weeks.

Mostly though I've just been spending lots of time hanging out with people. There was another luau. Remember that last year? How much fun it was? I made Cedric another Hawaiian shirt. We're looking out for one another just like we promised.

There's been wackiness. Poor Gavin and Luke might never recover. There's also been fun at Theodoric's. And don't get too excited, but I had a sort of date. With Peter. It was fun.

I can hear you saying "I told you so" from here.

Shut up.

All in all things are pretty good. Except people keep leaving.

And well, I miss you. But you know that. Don't forget it.

After a busy few days, Isabel was stretched out on her bed, reviewing her notes for Hunting.

The door was open.
All in all it had been a pretty busy week, between library duty, visits with friends, and lots of prom preparation. Saturday morning Isabel got up early and made a handwavey trip to town to check on the last minute details.

Late afternoon found her back in her room, busy getting ready and remembering last year when Xander and Bridge had been there to have dinner with.

Her mask was laying on her bed, as Isabel put on her dress and finished up her hair and make-up.
After stopping by Greg's to check on him and finding him sleeping the sleep of the heavily cold-medicated, Isabel returned to her room for what appeared to be a very mellow Valentine's night.

Still, she couldn't complain. Library had been fun and Hunting had been as interesting as always. Isabel set her roses on the desk and took a moment to read the cards once more.

A yellow and a pink rose with a note that says Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Love, Annette
Six white & six red roses with a note that says I'm sure I utterly failed at surprising you with these, but this is just the start. Hope you don't have any allergies I don't know about. Love, G
Six pink roses with a note that says From Jack, because you always believe in me.
A pink rose with a note that says Thank you for being a lovely friend. So many good wishes to you. Happy Valentine's Day. ~Peter Pevensie
A yellow rose with a note that says Hey new big sis, I'd probably frak it up if I tried to say how much I appreciate everything, so I thought I'd say thanks with this. Anders

After changing into some clothes suitable for sprawling, she booted up the laptop and put in her DVD of Wooing the Rock.

The door was open and there was candy for sharing.
Mondays were so much more enjoyable when they could be considered a part of the weekend. And with no classes, Isabel did. After visiting Dawn and then going skating on Saturday night, Isabel spent a quiet Sunday recovering from the assorted bumps and bruises she received.

She finally ventured out this morning to the School Board Brunch where she had a lovely time discussing Type A brothers with Steve Peter. The mental images created by the little old lady were significantly less lovely.

Not up to the common room, Isabel sat with her door open, watching as wandering coconuts wandered into the room to be chased by Annie.
Lonnie slowly woke up, cursing quietly because her head hurt so badly. Without moving, she thought back over her night, trying to figure out what the hell she did to make it feel like she and Rath had spent the night drinking, smoking and playing some of their more kinkier games.

She remembered hanging out on the street corner. That one guy was hot but there was no way she was gonna pay. Then the two other likely prospects got distracted by that bitch. The bar looked like a good place to pass some time, even if the old guy did want to see ID.

Then she left...and met up with that blonde and her furry friend. It was all a blank after that.

A soft rumble caught her attention. Lonnie waved her hand and the lights came on. "The hell?" she yelled, staring at the thing sleeping on her floor. She picked up the nearest thing at hand, a book, and threw it.
How to have a busy day )

Isabel sprawled on her bed, with Annie curled up against her, trying to work up the energy to get into her PJ's.
Isabel yawned as she unpacked after her week in LA. It might not have been relaxing, but it had certainly been fun. Between visiting art museums, Disney, enjoying the view at Muscle Beach and then the New Year's Party, they'd been busy. Still it was nice to be home and still have some time to relax before the new semester started.

Annie was playing with a catnip toy and the door was open.
Isabel had tried to be mature and blase about going to Disney. But by the time they'd gotten their tickets, gotten into the park and were standing on Main Street, she was pretty much bouncing with excitement. "Okay, where do you want to go first?"

[Anyone in LA can hop in. Just assume a handwavey invite. Please wait for the OCD is up! But I'm still insane]
After a Thursday that included finals, playing Santa with Jarod at the Perk, delivering presents to Parker, and then running the coffee cart, Isabel was ready for a quiet day.

The door's open and Isabel is sprawled on her bed watching the few Christmas movies they didn't get to watch last night.

[open! Occasional SP due to RL]
It had taken a while to clean up the common room after feeding a small army of students. Isabel hadn't cared, it gave her time to process what Luke had told her about Anakin and what Bridge had told her about Xander. Maybe that's why she got so frustrated with Bel, she wasn't ready to lose another friend. But despite all that it was nice to just hang out and talk to both new and not so new people.

After a long, steamy shower that muffled the sound of any tears, Isabel dressed in her comfy pajamas and sat on her bed with her laptop in her lap. It only took a few minutes to type up a message and only a few minutes more for a mail undeliveable message to appear. Silently Isabel closed the laptop and put aside before stretching out on her bed. It took a long time for her to get to sleep.
After all the goodbyes this week, Isabel's really not in the mood for common rooms where new faces have replaced old. Instead she pulled out the nice, generic, non-trademarked landscape puzzle she'd ordered a while ago and started to sort through the pieces.

Lowen & Navarro are playing on the stereo and the door is open.

[ooc: I'm around for about the next 45 minutes or so. Then I should be back at some point around 9:00 PST. Possibly earlier but I'm not sure what our plans our. I mean I'm in Vegas for Pete's sake. And I'm here!]
After baking, Isabel had taken a long walk around the island, eventually winding up at the small, secluded beach she and Greg had picnicked at. It was nice to remember happy times and not have to worry about facing anyone that would ask questions about last night's radio. When it started to get dark she returned to the school, collected her cheesecake from the classroom fridge, and returned to her room.

The cheesecake's in the mini-fridge, Isabel is contemplating nail polish colors, and the door is mostly open.
Isabel didn't get in until late Friday night after spending the evening swimming at the beach. That means her plans for a hot and humid Saturday included sleeping in and and then some brain candy. Sprawled on her bed, she's re-reading the newest pirate/ninja novel and snickering.

Her curtain is open.
