Room 406, all day

It hadn't been a bad last week in Fandom. Between being social, seals, presents, and reality TV, it was certainly memorable. Even if the good-byes weren't so much fun.

There wasn't much left to pack. But Isabel was taking her time doing it.

The door was open.

[OOC: Good-bye post. *sniffles* Assume handwavey phone calls. ETA: Random bouts of SP for the rest of the afternoon due to RL.]

"Nothing bad," she answered. "He's happy."

Ino mulled over that.

"We haven't said anything making it all official, or whatever."

"No reason you should," Isabel shrugged. "There's nothing wrong with keeping things casual. At least just as long as you both agree to it."

"What do you think of it?"

Of the fact that they were kinda, sorta, maybe-ish together. Maybe.

Another shrugh. "He's happy. That's all that matters to me."

"And I know that if something weird happens, because of the alien stuff, you'll be able to watch his back." Because there were so many things he might have to deal with.

[intraspective]

"I'd watch his back whether or not we were together in any way, shape, or form," Ino said, frowning at her. "Whether it happened in another timeline-universe or not."

"I know you would," she said simply. "And that makes leaving here a little bit easier."

"Even though you don't like me?"

"Michael likes you. That's what's important to me," Isabel replied. "We might not see eye to eye about a lot of things. But in the grand scheme of things, that's not important."

[intraspective]

"Whatever," she said dismissively. "If you say so. I'm not in life for a freakin' popularity contest. 'Long as you don't want to kill me I'm good." A beat. "And I'm fairly good even if people do want to kill me."

Ino was generous like that. Totally.

"Got contact info I can have incase I need to know something 'bout Michael in an emergency?"

And she thought dealing with Liz made her crazed. Isabel sighed and rummaged around till she found a paper and a pen.

"Here," she said after writing down all her contact info. "And if that doesn't work it means the universe has cut me off. But just in case check with Chris Halliwell or Peter Petrelli. They'll know one way or another."

[intraspective]

"Thanks," she said. "And I'll try Peter first, I know him better." A beat. "We pretended to be squirrels together, you know."

...when they were weetiny. Shhh.

Isabel smiled fondly. "He's a sweetheart. And a good guy to know."

"Squirrels? Did you drink rum?"

[intraspective]

"He's fun," she conceded. "We just don't seem to run in the same circles very well."

A beat.

"We were weetiny. And hiding from his brother."

"It happens," she nodded. "Maybe you'll have a class together or something."

Isabel had to smile at the image of a wee Peter pretending to be a squirrel. "So no rum then."

[intraspective]

"No rum," she said with a little nod. "Peter was, like, three or something. I was eight. Dad would've killed me if I'd tried drinking."

"Only if Nathan hadn't done it first. He takes the big brother thing pretty seriously," Isabel explained.

[intraspective]

"He's pretty awesome, really," she grinned. "I mean, sure, we were hiding from him, but he talked us out of the trees and then took us to watch the ducks. It was a lot of fun."

"I'll have to take your word on the fun part of it," she told Ino. "Most of my dealings with Nathan have been a little more formal."

[intraspective]

That got a laugh. "To be entirely honest, I haven't met him while I was my proper age. Just as a kid. So I'm a bit biased, really."

"His classes are interesting. So if you get a chance, take one," Isabel suggested. "Just be prepared for a lot more stiffness."

Ino wrinkled her nose. "Maybe," she said. "Though I'm more into the fighty classes, and I don't think his are."

"They are in a way," she said after a moment's thought. "It's just more fighting with words."

"...do you really think I'm the sort that'd be any good at that?" Seriously?

"Maybe not the best," Isabel answered honestly. "But it'd be a good experience for you. Because sometimes knowing the right words to make an argument can be better then any weapon."
