UNLV, Tonopah Hall, Room 313 - evening

Isabel was grateful that Sarah had spent most of the day in studio, because it would have been too difficult to explain the letter that appeared out of her lamp and her tearful reaction to it. It took a while, but eventually she was able to write a note back.

She didn't get much studying done that night.

"Lots of shrimp," Isabel nodded. "And stupid people for him to mock."

"Oh yeah. Have to have that." Parker chuckled a little, then cleared her throat. "Wouldn't be any good without that. He's probably mocking us, right now. Just a little."

That made Isabel laugh just a bit. "A little? I'm thinking a lot."

"Enh." Parker gave a sideways smile. "For missing him, or worrying about him, yeah, definitely. For the Alanna bits... not so much." She was quiet a minute. "Anyway. It's morning here, but I should let you go. Has to be late in Vegas. Is everything else going okay?"

Isabel paused for a moment, unable to not take a moment to rememer some of her conversations with Faithful. "Yeah, you're right," she agreed. "Stupid cat."

Another sigh.

"Everything's fine. Although this full schedule thing is a pain in my ass."

"Yeah, I remember that adjustment from last year," Parker sympathized. "You'll be great, though." She shook her head. "Anyway. I'll talk to you in a week or so. Hopefully under better circumstances."

"Back at you. Night, Isabel." Parker put down the phone, and cuddled Esme a little longer before heading in to work, thinking of Alanna and Faithful.
