Meerkat Cabin, Isabel's Alcove B?, Saturday Afternoon

After waking up and then going back to sleep for a few hours, Isabel showered and changed at the dorms, and then returned to Meerkat cabin regretably missing the Stickbug peace offering and any subsequent chaos because RL won't let me be around for it.

After listening to the radio broadcast, she was somewhat relieved to hear only minimal mention of what she did at Caritas and no mention of who she left with or where they went. Now she just had to work up the courage to face Bel, Parker, and Aeryn. Hiding behind a half closed curtain and staring at the ceiling is a good way to start.

"Not the last time I asked him. And I'd think he'd have mentioned it, if he has." Parker shook her head. "I have got to kick him for that. She's probably still worried sick. There's only so much time I can give him before she's got to know he's allright."

"That's going to be hard for both of them, don't you think?" She bit her lip thoughtfully, "I remember back in January, when he told me about CJ. He was really happy about being adopted."

"Thrilled. And she loves him so much. I think I remember her telling me she wished she could have adopted him sooner, when he was younger. All those birthday party stations at his 18th...." Parker shook her head. "I definitely have to have a talk with him." She cocked her head at Isabel. "I'm glad someone else knows all this."

"That was some party, right down to the wandering monsters," Isabel laughed quietly. "But you're right, him not remembering her at all? That's going to be rough. For both of them." She shook her head and smiled wryly. "It's amazing the things you talk about when you wake up next to someone at five in the morning."

"Tell me about it." Parker smiled wryly. "Right. I'm gonna go track down our wandering chevalier, and see if I can't get a good reason not to call CJ out of him. I'll let you know how it goes."

"Please do," Isabel said seriously. "I wouldn't want to see him deal with this on his own."

"Sure. I think I'll talk to Rory for a bit, too. Thanks for being his friend too, Isabel." Parker crossed the cabin to talk to Rory in her alcove.

"He makes it easy," Isabel said. Reaching across to her dresser, she grabbed her iPod and put it on.
