The posterboard and markers where piled on the desk. Isabel sat on the bed scribbling on a notepad attempting and failing miserably to come up with campaign slogans. The radio is playing, the door is open and she's waiting for Peter and Bridge to show up.

After a brief incident in the park, Peter stopped by his room, dried his face, pulled some leaves out of his hair, grabbed his supplies, went up to Isabel's room, and knocked on the door. He was glad to end that sentence.

"Come in! It's open."

"Hey, Isabel," Peter said as he entered the room. "I'm ready for some campaigning."

"Hi Peter. Great!" She motioned towards the pile of poster supplies. "I've got the supplies but I'm seriously lacking in ideas of what to say. I don't think a career in advertising is in my future."

"Crap. I brought supplies, too," Peter said, putting his stuff down. "I hoped someone else was bringing the ideas. Oh well, we'll figure out something, I'm sure."

"If not, there's always lollipops."

She picked up the pen and pad and started tapping the pen against the paper. "I put up some posters this morning that talked about cross class cooperation and sophomore solidarity. But I still feel like we should be offering something concrete or a tangible goal. How about some kind of organized game night or something similar? It seems like there's always something going on in the common rooms but it still seems like it's mostly spur of the moment."

Lana is walking by on her way to anywhere that isn't her room right now and sees Isabel through the open door. "Oh hey! Glad to see you're working on your campaign stuff!"

"I think that's a good idea. I get the impression it would turn chaotic pretty quickly. People stealing from the bank, hiding the hat..." Peter thought of something and smiled geekily. "Oh, God. We have to do a Risk night. That would be insane. We must use this idea."

"I'm very scared prepares for a night with no sleep. It would be insane," she laughed. "And if we did Monopoly for a more traditional game night, and Trivial Pursuit night for the trivia buffs... How about just a casino night? Then I think we'd offer something for everyone."

From: [identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com
"That is really brilliant. The casino night could even be a fundraiser of some sort," Peter suggested. "No clue what we'd be raising funds for, but that could be figured out later."

"Hi Lana!" Isabel smiled. "We're trying to. Peter and I are thinking that game night might be something to campaign for. A little organized fun as opposed to the chaotic fun that seems to happen around here."

"Game night sounds like a good idea. I'd certainly be behind it." Lana makes a face. "Not that I think I'm really be running at this point - not after getting detention 2 days into spring semester."

"We'd have to see about that. I'm not sure how the state of Virginia feels about high school students gambling." She drummed the pen a few more times, "Unless you donate a set amount, say $10 for $1000 in chips. That way we could raise money, but not break any laws, or bankrupt or fellow students while we're going it."

Isabel scribbled something on the notepad, "How's this? Regular, organized fun in the midst of the chaos."

"That's good. I'm glad we can count on your support."

Isabel frowned. "Detention, that's not good."

Lana sighs. "Silly spur of the moment thing. Some of us decided to go for a swim and next thing you know there was skinny dipping going on. It wasn't the brightest thing to do, but it was a lot of fun. Oh well. What's done is done, right?"

"Good point. See? This is why I'm not Idea-Man, defender of... um... I've got nothing there either. See? Nothing there either," Peter said.

"You, on the other hand, are a genius and deserve a lollipop," Peter said as he pulled the lollipop bag out of his pile. "A lollipop from the bag I was given for your campaign the other day and never returned. Dude. I'm sorry I'm completely riding your coattails right now. If you need anyone to do physical labor for the campaign, I can do that!"

"Oh ouch. Fun but probably not the best thing to have done given the way it seems like administration or the radio folks see everything around here."

Bridge bounces up to Room 406, arms full of markers and photos and posterboard and glue and other useful poster-making materials.

"Hey guys!" he says, poking his head in the door.

"I know. I guess at the time we weren't really thinking about being watched everywhere we go. We probably should have been, but..." she shrugs.

"So, anyway, how have you been settling in? Classes going okay?"

Isabel took the lollipop and started to unwrap it. "Actually, the bag was Parker's. I think we owe her a new one."

"As for coattails," Isabel said, "Help me make some posters and there's no problem!"

"Hi!" Isabel said, "You must be Bridge. I'm Isabel Evans."

"I can do that!" Peter said. "And I doubt Parker will mind about the lollipops. I already stole her last name, a bag of lollipops isn't nearly as bad as that."

"Classes seem to be going well. I'm a bit nervous about the studio time for History of Art tomorrow, but otherwise, it's been a lot of fun." She laughed. "I can't believe I'm saying that about school."

"I have poster-making stuff!" Bridge says, dumping said poster-making stuff in a free spot on the floor and flopping down. "So... did I miss anything?"

From: [identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com
"Bridge!" Peter said. "Tell me you also brought ideas! I have none so you have to pick up my slack!"

"You missed a little brainstorming. And the handing out of lollipops." Peter tossed one to Bridge.

From: [identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com
"Well, I have ideas. I always have ideas. Whether or not they are relevant to our campaign is another matter," Bridge smirks. "And, ooh. Candy. So what was the brainstorming about?"

"This is a different kind of school, that's for sure," Lana says with a laugh. "Oh, and did you hear, the principal is trying to get rid of all the gremlins? Wonder how much luck he'll have with that - and how mad they'll get before it's all through!"

Isabel grinned, interested in seeing his reaction. "Game Night. Once a month. Since we have roughly four months till the term ends, we figured we could do a Monopoly night, Risk, Trivial Pursuit, and a Casino Night. That way we have a good chance of appealing to everyone at least once. What do you think?"

From: [identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com
"Sounds cool," Bridge says, tilting his head as he considers Isabel's idea.

He then moves over to a spot by the wall and does a handstand using the wall to help keep himself propped up.

"That's why I have no ideas! I haven't been upside down!" Peter moved over by Bridge and did a handstand of his own. He then glanced at Isabel and said, "Don't laugh, it works."

Isabel contemplated her follow canidates.

"If I didn't think we had a pretty good idea with game night, I might actually join you. But I really think this is a good idea. Especially considering I put up the post thinking "Huh?"" She pulled two scribbled on sheets from her notepad, crumbled them up and tossed them at Bridge and Peter. "Now it's time to make posters!"

From: [identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com
"That would be great. I only heard bits and pieces about last night but it sounds like getting rid of them would be a good thing." Isabel grimaced. She was really afraid of what would happen if she was bit by a gremlin, she'd probably end up thinking that she was E.T. or something.

"A pissed off critters that bit? Oh yeah, that's going to be fun."

[ooc: sorry, multi-tasking]

"That's what I'm thinking." Lana grinned. "Well, hey, you guys look pretty busy. I just wanted to say hello and good luck and all that." She waves at Peter and Bridge. "I'll see you guys later."
