Parker nodded. "I know you'd listen--" but I don't want to traumatize the hell out of you "--and if I do need to tell you, I will." She grimaced. "I hope I don't have to, though. I don't want to know this stuff. If I have to tell you, it's bad." She rubbed her eyes. "You would like him, I think. Maybe, sometime, he can visit again. Probably when I least expect it."
