Room 406, evening

Isabel is finally feeling more like herself after Friday's argument with Max and last night's odd dream. That's why the door is open as she plays with Annie, laughing as she used her powers to send a ball of crumpled up paper around the room for the cat to chase.

[ooc: details of the conversation with Parker are NFB please!]

"Can I at least hope that my points helped a little?" Peter asked.

"I think so," she smiled. "Although probably not in the way you'd intended. I'm pretty sure part of the reason he backed off on insisting I go home was because he knew the minute I got there I would tell our parents the truth and the hell with the consequences." Isabel shrugged, "I'm not exactly proud that I essentially blackmailed him. But I'm still here. And that's all that matters."

"Well, at least I helped somehow," Peter said. "He'll see reason with this whole thing eventually. Hopefully before I see reason withmy situation."

"You did," Isabel assured him. "And we did make up before he left. Things are a little strained now cause of some other stuff. But we'll get through it eventually."

"Good," Peter said. "Hopefully it happens fairly soon. Siblings shouldn't fight like that."

"I hope so. But just in case? I'm planning on staying her for Thanksgiving," she admitted. "Or tagging along wherever Parker heads off to. But I won't be heading back to Roswell."

"I'll probably be heading home for Thanksgiving," Peter said. "Which should prove interesting with questions of 'Why didn't you tell me about Parents Weekend?'"

"Eep! And lavish praise of your aunt's cooking skills wouldn't work as a distraction?" Isabel asked. "How would she even know if Osborn wound up with the invite?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-11-06 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
"It's not so much that she knows who got it as much as she found out that she didn't get it," Peter said. "And she wouldn't believe my praise for her cooking for a second. I've lived with her for too many years."

"Mostly I'll just have to explain that I did, in fact, want her there and I'm very sorry. Or say that I was worried she wouldn't like my girlfriend. That's probably the easier route."

"Either one of those options sounds like a plan. Maybe if you bring flowers and look suitibly sad?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-11-06 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
"That is a thought," Peter said. "It might work."

"And with that thought, I should get going. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
