Isabel had been surprised to find a note from Tinker Bell when she opened the store. Then she read it an laughed out loud. This was going to be too much fun.

"Oh Blackheart! Where are you, you cute little bunny person?"

Blackheart was not cowering behind the counter when he heard Isabel arrive and call his name. Not at all. There was a huge difference between cowering and preserving his demonic pride by stealthily remaining unseen.

Unfortunately, even wee demon-bunnies have moments where they are noisy, and a nervous thump of his foot on the floor was probably quite likely to give his hiding place away.

Hoping the noise she heard was wee bunny induced and not a lost gremlin, Isabel stuck her head around the corner of the counter.

"There you are!" Overly bright and cheerful on purpose? Just to annoy the angry demon? Never.

Well, so much for demonic pride.

Blackheart-the-bunny gave Isabel a look that would have clearly said 'breathe a word of this to anyone, and I'll eat your face,' if only it wasn't such an annoyingly adorable look, accentuated by a twitchy little bunny nose and such sweet wee little pink ears.

But at least he was making the attempt.

"Oh? You want me to pick you up and scratch your ears?" asked an Isabel that was not very fluent in evil bunny speak. She reached down to pick him up.

No, Blackheart most certainly did not want her to pick him up to scratch behind his ears. And he was going to make this point as clear as possible, by way of his terrifying little baby bunny teeth. Or at least he was going to make an attempt.

An attempt that was thwarted by a wave of Isabel's hand, leaving the wee fluffy bunny floating in mid air.

"That's not nice. Didn't anyone ever tell you not to bite the hand that's going to feed you carrots?"

Blackheart the floating wee fluffy bunny of rage stared at Isabel and gave her a curious twitch of his nose.

Carrots? He wasn't certain if he was willing to behave himself for carrots, as they didn't exactly have those on the home front. But part of him was fairly certain that carrots were a good thing. Yes, perhaps he would behave himself for carrots. This time.

"I'm going to take that nose twitch as a yes," she said.

Isabel set Blackheart down on the counter top then pulled the bag of carrots she'd brought with her lunch out. "Here. Lots of vitamin A goodness."

Taking one in her hand, she held it out to him.

After a moment of sniffing at the carrot, Blackheart started to munch on it with the pure terrifying ferocity that only a demonic dwarf hotot bunny with a carrot could possibly possess.

Yes, this would do.
