Room 226, early morning

It was a very reluctant Isabel that dragged herself out of bed in order to get ready for work.

"Calling in sick sounds incredibly tempting," she grumbled.

Equally reluctant arms tried to drag Isabel back into bed. "Uh huh," Wyatt agreed.

So tempting, so tempting...

"Stop that," Isabel laughed batting at Wyatt's hands. "I need to go to work and you need to go to class. Tomorrow morning we can sleep in."

Wyatt reached over the side of the bed and fumbled for the box he'd received from his mom the other day. He withdrew the teddy bear and held it up in front of Isabel. "Wubbie wants you to stay," he said. "You can't say no to the teddy bear."

"Wubbie?" she giggled. "Seriously? He is cute though, so he can get away with it. Unlike some people he doesn't have bed head."

"That's what my mother said I called him," Wyatt said. "She took him with her when she left me and Chris, as a reminder. Why she sent him to me know, I don't know. I'm probably still three in her head or something."

He ran his free hand through his hair. "Hey, my hair looks great," he complained.

"If she couldn't hold you," Isabel replied, reaching for the bear. "I see why she took it. As for sending it back, well she's probably just trying to make some sort of connection. She's got how many years to overcome?"

"Yeah, I guess," Wyatt said. "I'm a little old for a teddy bear now, though. Maybe he'll help Chris get through the night, though," he added with a smirk.

"I'm not saying a word. But yes," she laughed. "You have other ways of getting through the night now. Sorry Wubbie, you've been replaced. By me."

"Oh no!" Wyatt said in a high voice, making the bear flail. "Whatever shall I do now?"

"I've got a nice alien bear to introduce you to," Isabel replied, snickering at the silliness. "You can settle down and raise some bear cubs."

"Oooh," the "bear" said. "Is she hot?"

"Very," she promised. "You'll be very happy together."

"Excellent," Wyatt said, tossing the bear over to his desk. "The bear is appeased." He tried to pull Isabel back into the bed.

"No," Isabel said as she laughed and pulled away. "I'm going to be late! Later. I promise."

"All right," Wyatt sighed, flopping down on the bed. "I suppose I should start getting ready for class anyway."

"Yes. You should," she grinned, tugging on the blanket. "If I have to get up, you have to get up."

". . . want to shower?" Wyatt suggested hopefully.

"You're going to make me late for work," Isabel sighed.

Which was not exactly saying no.

"I'll orb you," Wyatt offered, noticing the definite lack of no.

"Well in that case," she grinned. "You can scrub my back."

"And front," Wyatt agreed, taking Isabel's hand and tugging her towards the bathroom. Getting up in the morning was so much easier when it involved sudsy fun.
