The Preserve, later in the evening

Isabel was not happy when she woke up and found out that Fandom Weirdness had changed her into a guy. Her mood started to improve once she made it to class. And it was much better after spending time in town catching up with people. It had improved enough, that she even sent photographic evidence to Parker.

Still, between residual issues from the weekend, and her sudden guyness, it meant that the six month anniversary evening she'd originally planned on had turned into a quiet dinner and then a walk in the preserve.

"NO!" she flailed, turning pinker. "I was too shocked before class. And now? Well, I don't know. Like you said. Weird."

"Which stinks because I would like to kiss you right now."

Now Wyatt flailed. "You're a guy!" he said.

"On the outside," Isabel repeated. Sighing, she turned away and took a seat on a fallen tree just off the side of the trail.

"But I understand. It would be weird and I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Even though it had been several days since she'd kissed him.

Wyatt settled beside her. "It shouldn't matter what you look like on the outside," he said. "You're still you. You're still Isabel."

"But it's not what you're used to," she replied, leaning her head on his shoulder.

He leaned his head against hers. "I love you, who you are inside. I mean, you're hot, so, bonus." He laughed a little. "We know some other version of me is gay. So if I'd met you as a guy, would I still have fallen for you?"

"I don't know. I doubt you would have made any sort of note about marrying me in your planner," Isabel pointed out. "And that weekend with the memory loss, and the fake engagement was when everything started. But who know what would have happened."

Feeling nervous, she turned her head and brushed a kiss across his lips. "That wasn't so bad was it?" she whispered.

Wyatt closed his eyes and kissed Isabel back. The lips felt all wrong, but still, the kiss was nice.

Not wrong. Just different.

"Picturing long hair?" she asked before lightly sucking on his lower lip.

Wrong in that they weren't the usual soft Isabel lips, but not bad-wrong. "Mmm hmm," he said, then deepened the kiss.

Hopefully this would only be a short bout of Fandom weirdness and she'd be back to herself soon enough. But in the meantime, this anniversary celebration might not be so bad after all.

Isabel edged closer, returning the kiss eagerly.

Fandom weirdness and demonically induced emo aside, Wyatt wasn't about to let this anniversary pass by with some sort of celebration. He slipped his arms around Isabel, pulling her closer.

She might be in a different body, but Isabel still remembered Wyatt's particularly sensitive spots. Which would explain why she was zeroing in on his ear even as she shifted position to get more comfortable. Innocently, stupidly, she thought it was just from sitting on the hard rock.

Isabel's sensitive spots, however, were in different places now. If he'd been more up to letting his hands wander, Wyatt would've known what was causing Isabel's discomfort. As it was, he made a soft noise of pleasure, kissing his way down Isabel's neck.

Most of the day Isabel had been pretty sure she was still herself, just in a differently shaped package. Now, she was realizing there was something different going on. She tipped her head to the side, enjoying the feel of Wyatt's kisses as always. But she wanted more. And quickly, when normally she'd be content to kiss and touch and nip and taste until they were both breathless.

Moving quickly, Isabel turned to straddle Wyatt's lap, flinched, and then dropped her head to his shoulder, laughing softly. "Oh my god," she giggled, her face pink with embarrassment.

"What?" Wyatt said. Then his eyes got wide.

"How do you deal with this on a regular basis?" she asked, shifting against him to try and get more comfortable.

For the record?

It wasn't working.

"Lots of practice," Wyatt said, and then he had to laugh. "And thinking of complex math equations or sport scores."

"I'm impressed," Isabel replied, lightly kissing his neck. "Right now I'm having a hard time putting words together. Complex thought seems impossible."

"It's difficult at first," Wyatt said. "The wrong body parts want to do the thinking. You have to wrestle for control."

She was quiet for a long moment. Partly because she was wrestling for that control and partly because she was working up her courage.

"Or we could wrestle together?"

she said meekly.

". . . what do you mean?" Wyatt said, though he likely understood loud and clear.

"I have no clue," Isabel admitted, hiding her face once again. "Forget I said anything."

"You're blushing!" Wyatt accused.

"No I'm not. It's warm out."

The temperature was comfortable at best.
