Wyatt had handwavily found Victoria at Caritas and called Isabel to tell her to meet them back at her room. After getting their daughter cleaned up and settled into the spare bed, Isabel sat down on her bed and sighed.

"This is just preview of what life is going to be like isn't it?"

"She's wonderful," Isabel smiled, glancing over towards the other bed. "So cute. And happy. That's important."

"Very happy," Wyatt said, grinning. "It's a good sign for the future."

"I'm almost sad that it's still so far away," she admitted. "I mean with school and everything. It's going to be some time before she's here."

Wyatt nodded. "But it means we'll be better able to take care of her and spoil her rotten," he said.

"Spoil her rotten?" Isabel sighed. "You're going to make me be the bad guy aren't you?"

"Yes," Wyatt said gravely. "You'll be the bad cop, I'll be the good cop. Unless it's time for her to start dating boys, by which I mean never."

"You mean you wouldn't want her to meet a guy just like you?" she chuckled. "Why not?"

"There's no one else like me," Wyatt said. "So there's no one worthy."

"I don't think there's room enough in this bed for me, you, and your ego," Isabel pointed out.

"It might be a tight fit, but we'll manage," Wyatt said.

"You're such a dork," she said, cuddling close and closing her eyes.

"Don't tell anyone," Wyatt said, nuzzling her neck. "It'll ruin my image."

Isabel nuzzled back sleepily. "Big tough guy."

"That would be me," Wyatt said, then yawned. "She's worn us out, hasn't she? We're going to need to work out and take our vitamins to stay in shape to keep up with her."

"And we haven't even had to deal with the sleepless nights yet." Which meant Isabel was going to start stocking up on sleep immediately.

"At least I can orb the dirty diapers away?" Wyatt said.

Eyes closed, snuggled closely into Wyatt's side, their beautiful daughter sleeping in the bed across from them, Isabel was absolutely content.

And sleepy.

"Love you."

She heard him and smiled, then fell asleep and dreamed of pixie girls with their daddy's smile.
