Las Vegas, Monday evening
The summer semester was over and Isabel had a few days of down before the fall semester began. It was hard to believe she only had two more semesters until she graduated. She had a feeling the time was going to go by quickly. That thought might be why she was perusing want ads although maybe she should be considering positions in San Francisco in the future.
Last week's Project Runway was playing on the TV and job searching was on the verge of losing out to Farmville. Isabel had priorities after all.

Tonight was one of those times.
Isabel might be happy to see Wyatt as he orbed in, but not the green goo that he was covered with.

"You're blocking Nina's bitchface." The part about dripping goo on the carpet was left unsaid. It wasn't the first time it had happened, and it probably wouldn't be the last.

Setting her laptop aside, Isabel got to her feet and studied Wyatt, looking for a clean spot to kiss hello. "Of course it looks like he had a small bit of revenge."

Hence not changing before coming to see Isabel. She could fix it, right?

"One of the bartenders has moved on to Tryst at the Wynn. She said she could get us on the guest list one night if I was interested." Which Isabel most certainly was since it was one of the more exclusive clubs on the Strip.

whinedwhined.Though the though of the undressing was making the idea very worth it.

Then again, the heels meant he thought he was getting the better part of the deal.
"OK," he said. "For those heels you get a tie." And pretty much anything else she wanted, not that he was going to out right say that.
As if she didn't know already.

"Awesome. I'll have her put us on the list for Friday." Since Saturday would be damn near impossible. "But in the meantime, you...okay, we should get cleaned up. Then I need your help deciding something."

"I vote for a post-graduation vacation," he said. "Where are you looking for jobs?"
no subject
"Vacation is good. It'll be nice to go away without worrying about papers or studying for a change, Isabel agreed. Which didn't really answer the question of where she was looking did it.

With one last tug, the goo covered jacket was removed and TK'd over to the tile floor in the kitchenette. Fortunately it seemed to have protected Wyatt's shirt enough that Isabel was able to slide her arms around his waist without worrying about too much goo.
"Would you be mad if I said I might want to spend another here in Vegas?" she said quietly.

A beat.
"Minus the cabana boy."

She sighed, because the picture he painted was a tempting one. "I want that to, believe me. Which is why I'm not jumping for joy over this job despite how perfect it would be for me."

"Busy. There are some demons giving them some trouble at the moment." There were always demons giving them trouble if Isabel were honest. It went with being a Halliwell. "So Wyatt and Chris are out hunting tonight. If I didn't have to work tomorrow morning I'd have tagged along."

"They have too much fun doing that," Parker said, then shook her head. "How is work plus school going? Any last-minute worries?"
Hmm. A Lotus. Would Isabel like one of those?
no subject
"No worries. I've only got about twenty-six credits to go. Spread out over two semesters, that's easy." There was a reason Isabel hadn't taken summers off. "Hell, I was just sitting here looking at job listings."
