As soon as Wyatt orbed them back from Roswell, Isabel tossed her bag on the couch, pulled out her phone and tried to call her mother to apologize for missing dinner.

Except no one answered the phone.

Which was...odd.

"I guess you want to know what was going on," she said to Wyatt.

[Mostly for one, but calls are welcome.]

"If it's not Fandom weirdness, then why would someone want to do that, and why wouldn't it affect you?" Wyatt wondered aloud. "Either somebody went back in time, or it's a spell. And if it's a spell it can be broken."

"Or it could be alien weirdness. We never did find out what happened to Kivar." Which was a thought that brought back a lot of very bad memories for Isabel. "But it doesn't make sense. Why now? Why Liz and Maria and not me?"

"I don't know," Wyatt admitted.

Something else occurred to him, though he was a little reluctant to voice it. "Could be someone trying to screw with you to get to me," he said. "Maybe you were supposed to forget all about Fandom, too, but it didn't quite work out right."

"We know that's a possibility," she nodded, thinking of what she remembered from the reunion weekend. "So we add it to the list. Fandom weirdness, alien weirdness, and magical weirdness. Great, where do we begin?"

Isabel was quiet for a moment as she thought things over, and to appreciate the fact that Wyatt was there keep her from panicking too badly. "I'm going to call Parker. She made a comment on Twitter earlier about losing track of things. Maybe it's happening to her as well."

"That would mean it was definitely Fandom then," Wyatt said, more than a little relieved. Even if it meant more than Isabel's home was affected, it would mean more people helping to figure out what was going on.

The call didn't take long and the answer was weirdly reassuring.

"So it looks like it's some sort of Fandom thing," Isabel said, joining Wyatt on the couch. "Ben, one of the guys we sprang from the Centre last year is missing. As in no one else remembers him at all."

"So Fandom's randomly erasing people from our lives but not our memories of them," Wyatt said with a scowl. "Not funny. But that means it'll probably be over in a couple days like Fandom weirdness usually is."

"Not just erasing people, changing our lives. It's like that whole butterfly flapping in Japan causes a hurricane in Florida theory. Ripples, spreading out and changing everything," she shuddered, not liking where that train of thought was taking her. "I hope your right. That it's only a few days."

"Maybe we better check out what's going on on the island just to be sure," Wyatt said. "They could already be working on it."

"I'll call Ronan and maybe Anakin. If something's up, I'm sure one of them will know." Not that she made any effort to move just yet. The day's stress was starting to catch up to her.

Wyatt wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Yeah, they'll know," he agreed. "They're probably all over fixing it. But I'll check the Book of Shadows for anything, too."

"Memory demons or spells?" It made sense, but it didn't mean Isabel had to like the idea of Wyatt heading back to San Francisco. "You realize I'm going to text you constantly."

"And time travel," Wyatt said. "Since whatever's doing this is hitting different points in time. Time travel's really tricky, though."

And it often made you wear a bad wig. Just ask Cole.

Just as long as there was no evil facial hair.

"So whatever this is is traveling though time and dimensions making people disappear like they've never been born and rewriting history without anyone but us realizing it." Saying it all like that made her shudder once more. "I'm getting a really bad feeling about this."
