Shock of shocks, the family meeting hadn’t gone well. Max and Michael were furious that she’d spilled all their long held secrets while her parents were still in shock over finding out their children's true origins. No one even wanted to get into the whole disappearing buildings and people thing.

For the moment everyone had retreated to separate corners of the house to try and calm down and come to terms with things. Max and Michael were lurking the kitchen, her parents were outside on the patio, chairs pulled together and talking earnestly. Isabel and Wyatt had retreated to what was supposed to be her bedroom, but all the changes had made it a stranger’s room and there was no comfort in familiarity to be found.

Isabel paced about the room in frustration, unable to avoid feeling like they were running out of time. “I swear to god, I am this close to having you just grab them and orb them to the island.”

"Might be a good plan," Wyatt said, doing some pacing of his own. He'd been calling Chris's phone number all day in hopes that he'd somehow be back and answer it. The woman on the other end was probably going to report him to the police.

"But judging how they're taking things right now, they're not going to handle Fandom much better."

"I don't care. Not if it means they're safe." Losing Chris, Summer, Liz and Maria was enough. They didn't need anymore phone numbers to dial that wouldn't ring to the right person.

Yes Wyatt, Isabel had noticed all those phone calls.

"Grandpa Victor's still there," Wyatt said. He'd called him a few times as well just to make sure. "I can grab him, too, bring him to Fandom with us. We should call my mom, too."

Tiny Piper, not his real mom. He still had abandonment issues with her.

"Do you want to go do that now?" Isabel offered. "While I go back down there for what is it? Round fourteen?"

Someday Isabel was going to force him to deal with his abandonment issues. Or maybe not since between Tiny Piper and Diane Evans he had plenty of maternal types looking out for him. Well at least Diane cared when the world wasn't completely screwed up.

"Think it's going to go any differently than rounds one through thirteen?" Wyatt said, more than a hint of frustration in his voice. He was never a good one for standing around and talking.

"Possibly. Only because this time I might smack Michael upside the head." Or she might have Wyatt do it just to let some of that frustration out.

She continued moving about the room, absently picking things up before placing them back down. But soon enough Isabel wound up back at the window, looking down at her parents.

Holding her hand out behind her in invitation, she waited for Wyatt to join her.

Wyatt moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her. He glanced down at the Evans, then off toward the horizon.

He squinted at the dark clouds rolling in. "Is that a storm coming?" he said.

"Maybe. I haven't checked to see what the weather was supposed to be today." She'd been just a little worried about some other, more important things. "Maybe we'll get some real lightening to go with all the fireworks downstairs."

After a long moment of leaning back against Wyatt with her eyes closed, Isabel sighed and opened them. It was time to go do battle once more. Mild curiosity drew her eyes to the horizon where the black and inky clouds were rolling in fast.

"That's going to be one hell of a storm."

Down below, Isabel saw the exact moment when her parents noticed the darkening sky.

Wyatt felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. "I don't know, I have a bad feeling about this," he said.

He'd owe Anakin the money later.

"That doesn't look natural." Too dark, too solid black. Magical?

At Wyatt's words Isabel's gaze shot back to the clouds that now filled the horizon. "No. It doesn't." There was no lightening breaking up the clouds, mixed up shades of grey clouds. Just all consuming blackness.

And it was coming closer, faster.

Diane and Phillip had gotten to their feet, all the better to watch the storm approach with fascination. Isabel watched as her mother reached for her father's hand, a gesture she'd seen Diane make a thousand times before.

"We have to get them out here. Now."

The weird black spots in Vegas had been one thing. This was bigger, and moving, and fast. "Yeah," he said. "Time to get the hell out of here."

He already a hold of Isabel, and he orbed them out to the patio.

Max and Michael must have been watching out the kitchen window because they came running out the door as Isabel and Wyatt materialized on the patio.

"We have to go. NOW!" Isabel insisted as soon as she was able to. "Please?"

"Sweetheart, it's just a storm," her father insisted.

"They can't see it like we do," Wyatt said grimly. Just like they couldn't see the missing buildings or remember the people who had vanished.

"Trust us, we have to go now," he said, reaching for Diane's arm. Orbing five people was going to be rough, but he didn't have a choice. "I have to be touching you, though."

Diane hesitated for a moment, still too new to the world of magic and aliens to trust what Wyatt was suggesting immediately. But she could see that Isabel was growing more upset by the second, her eyes fixed on the storm.

Stepping closer, she pulled Phillip along with her to within easy reach.

Max and Michael stepped closer as well. "Are you sure about this Isabel?" Max asked.

"I'd bet my life on it," she replied.

The darkness was even closer now and the familiar features that normally dotted the neighborhood were gone, lost to the darkness.

"Let's go, let's go," Wyatt said. He stretched his arms out, Isabel in front of him, making sure they were all in physical contact.

The blackness was almost on them when he orbed away, concentrating on Fandom.

Isabel stumbled as they appeared in Fandom. She was used to orbing with Wyatt, but that had just felt wrong.

A quick look around confirmed they were in Fandom, but that same look around also showed that they were alone.

"Wyatt? Where are they?"

Wyatt spun around, looking. "What the hell?" he said. "I had them, I know I had them!" But the orb had been rough, and he wasn't used to going with so many people.

"You did," she replied, her eyes still searching for some sign that her family had made it there with them. But a sick feeling was growing in her stomach as Isabel realized that they hadn't.

"We have to go back. Please? We have to go back and get them."

"You stay here," Wyatt said, taking a step back from Isabel. No way was he going to take her right back to that darkness.

Silvery lights shimmered around him, but he didn't vanish like he usually did when he orbed. He tried again, but again remained where he was.

Hand to her mouth as her head shook in disbelief at what it meant, Isabel watched Wyatt try and fail to orb away.

"No. No. No. This can't be happening."

"I can't get back," Wyatt said, in a daze. "It's like -- it's like it's not there anymore. There's nothing to orb to."

As much as Isabel wanted to fall apart right now, she knew couldn't. Her family might be gone, but there were still others they had to warn. Falling apart would have to wait.

"Your grandfather. You have to get him now." She reached for Wyatt's hand because they were in this together and there was no way that she was letting him leave her behind to wait. Especially if he didn't make it back.

He didn't want to take her, but there wasn't time to argue. He orbed them back to his San Francisco, and miraculously, that worked.

They appeared in the attic of the Manor; he'd told Victor to go there and wait for him. Wyatt grabbed the Book of Shadows from its pedestal and handed it to Isabel. "Hold on to this," he said. "We might need it." Then he moved to the attic door and pulled it open, calling for his grandfather.

The floor below was gone, and there was nothing but blackness creeping up what remained of the stairs. Fast.

Holding onto the Book of Shadows tightly, Isabel followed after Wyatt. She'd seen how fast the darkness had moved in in Roswell. She wanted to be close in case they needed to make another quick exit.

"Oh no..."

"Grandpa!" Wyatt yelled, lifting his hands and shooting a blast of energy at the creeping darkness. It just swallowed up the golden light and kept coming.

"Wyatt, we have to go," Isabel urged him as he reached for his arm to pull him back into the attic. "We can't stop this. Not on our own. I'm sorry."

He wanted to try again, but she was right. Whatever this was, it had taken Chris, taken her family, and now it was taking Victor and the Manor. There wasn't anything they could do here now.

That didn't stop a frustrated snarl before he orbed them back to Fandom.

The minute they reached Fandom, Isabel turned to hang onto Wyatt for dear life. Which was a bit difficult to do while clutching a large book, but somehow she managed it.

"This is bad," she said quietly, her voice shaking.
