Las Vegas, Sunday Evening

Having her college graduation happen on the same weekend as Mother's Day weekend meant a lot of celebrating. There had been a post ceremony dinner where Max complained about the lack of entertainment at this ceremony versus the one at Fandom four years early. Both Isabel & Wyatt had thrown rolls from the bread basket at him. Blowing bubbles and batting a beach ball about the amongst the graduate chairs was more fun the beating up fairies and fighting for your life. Mostly. Okay, maybe Isabel did feel a little nostalgic for graduation battle when some of the speeches dragged on.

Sunday and Mother's day meant brunch and then tourist time on the Strip with her parents.

All and all, it was a great weekend.

But now everyone had gone home and Isabel was content to settle in on the couch and work on some wedding plans.

[Damn, my girl's a college graduate as of this weekend. For phone calls, emails, surprise visits or the fiancee if he's around.]

Wyatt dropped himself down on the couch. "So, are we supposed to go out and find jobs now?" he said. His own graduation was next weekend, but he was done with all his classes now.

Isabel looked up from her laptop ( Where she'd been pondering exactly how many variations on mason jar center pieces there were on Pinterest's wedding board) and grinned. "No body's said anything to me so I figure I'll keep turning up to work at the hotel as long as they're willing to keep paying me. You, on the other hand, might have to hit the Elders up for a paycheck and a pension plan."

"Hey, demon hunting can be a full time job," Wyatt said, putting his arm around her shoulders. "But fixing the manor can be a pain. We have glass stores and clock repair on speed dial."

"Now I see," she teased, shifting a bit to lean into Wyatt's side. "You're marrying me for the alien-fu. It'll probably cut the household repair budget in half."

"Well come on, it's no fun to just appear and go straight for the kill. They need to make the pretentious speeches first." From what almost five years of dating Wyatt had shown her, demons were kind of predictable.

"It's part of the demon package or something," Wyatt said, shaking his head. "But I can't complain since it usually gives me the opening I need to vanquish them."

"And speaking of date nights, it'll be nice to have them now that we don't have to fit them in around classes and homework."

"Can't I just orb her a bottle?" Wyatt said. That totally wouldn't be an abuse of his powers. In fact, if Victoria was anything like him, she'd be orbing bottles to herself before long.

"Maybe once she can hold it herself but I think they need a little help in the beginning." At least that's what it seemed like in the movies. Poor Victoria, hopefully the learning curve wouldn't be too steep.

"But I think we have to get through the wedding first. Before we start planning who's on diaper detail."

"Not all of them." Maybe 95% at this point. "There's a still a few key details that need to be worked out."

He wasn't entirely blind to the level of organization needed to plan a wedding, but he was happy to let her handle most of the details.

Smart boy. Just turn up in a tux at the appropriate time on the right day and all would be well.

"The biggest thing is who's going to be doing the service. I guess I need to track down a justice of the peace or something."

"Unless you're down for a Wiccan ceremony," Wyatt suggested. "Could see if Grams could come down and do it. She married Mom and Dad."

Though he had to wonder how they worked out the legalities of that.

"That's an option. And it would be nice to have family involved." It was a nice idea, and it would certainly be more meaningful then some random official. But who would do the paperwork? "But would it be legal? Maybe we can convince Bel or Ronan or someone to register with one of those online sites and become an internet minister. It could be a joint ceremony."

While she wasn't a huge political junkie, thanks to Josh Lyman's influence one long ago semester in Fandom, Isabel had a pretty decent handle on the politics of the day. "Okay, now I want you to orb the entire current Republican leadership to the future. Just to make their heads explode."
