Newtech City, Tuesday all day

When you're pregnant with a half-alien, half witch/Whitelighter baby, regular prenatal care just wasn't going to cut it. Which was why Isabel and Wyatt had been making regular trips to the more alien friendly future for the last nine months.

But now the big day was here and Miss Victoria Maureen Halliwell was ready to make her appearance.

Xander shook his head and stabbed a finger toward Jen. "Those guys have the technology for babies in jars. We just have a lot of aliens."

"The future: disappointing me since 2007." Parker stopped to stared at the clock again. Then glared at the Twinkies. "Give me one of those."

"Okay, but if the Saxons invade because you ate the front door, all the little cream-filling people are gonna blame you," he warned, picking a single Twinkie out of the structure fairly delicately for a guy with such big hands.

"Tell them I'll build them a new moat. Out of ... whatever poisonously delicious cream this stuff is made out of," Parker concluded, nibbling. "I am still processing the whole 'mother' thing for Isabel." Then again, she still hadn't processed it for Rory, and that was what, five years ago?

"Well, you couldn't have done it without me," Wyatt said. "So I'll take part of the blame. I'm just lucky she hasn't made me feel your contractions."

He had to shudder a little at the thought.

"I'm fine. But you're the youngest grandmother ever," Wyatt said, positively beaming.

"Well, it just so happens there's a grandmother who would love to meet and hold the little girl," Piper replied, grinning.

"A fact you'll remind me of often, I'm sure," Piper chuckled.

She didn't mind. Being a super young grandmother just meant she could get a head start on spoiling that perfectly healthy little baby.

"There's still some time." And given the way Isabel flinched, maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Smiling happily, Isabel held out the baby. "Meet Victoria Maureen. Isn't she perfect?"

"Ow!" Wyatt exclaimed, then looked puzzled. That had to be a coincidence, right?

"We may be begging you to babysit sometimes," Wyatt said. "I doubt there are many people qualified to deal with a part-witch, part-whitelighter, part-alien baby."

Don't look at Isabel. The wacky witchy Whitelighter genes came from his side of the family.

"What? I didn't squeeze your hand that hard."

[My icons expired.]

And aliens neeeeever had any hijinks.

"I felt a weird cramp," Wyatt said, eyeing Isabel's belly suspiciously.

[Mine tooooooo.]

"Tell me about it." Xander transferred a few more Twinkies to the battlements. Don't ask how a ziggurat can have battlements; you wouldn't like the answers. "Double for Willow, and one of those is named after me."

"Heh. Right, I forgot that, she and Peter started so young." Parker broke off a piece of yellow sponge cake with one long, sharp nail, and put it on one of the battlements. It was kind of horrifying. "Haven't these people heard of delaying until you're not sure you can have any?"

Only when they drink. Then things got interesting.

"Are you sure it wasn't lunch?"

"I didn't eat anything," Wyatt said. He'd been far too anxious to eat, not that he'd admit that.

"Well that's not good. You need to eat so you don't pass out on me."

Isabel, still not putting two and two together, probably because she was in this thing called labor.

Another contraction, the strongest so far, had Isabel hissing out a long breath. "Things are definitely moving along."

Wyatt doubled over, clutching at his stomach. "I'm sorry I said anything," he groaned. "Someone is already working mischief."

Now she got it. Sorry, but she was going to laugh.

"Wyatt, I love you dearly. But I'm the one getting the epidural. You're on your own."

"Don't laugh," Wyatt pouted. "This sucks! Our daughter is evil."

Victoria did not have evil facial hair!!!

"She's just trying to help you understand what I'm going through."

"Well, I'll try my best," Piper said, smiling. "I'll always be willing to look after her. Anytime."

Piper gently took the baby into her arms, smiling down at her little face. "Hi Victoria. Your mama is right, you are perfect."
