Newtech City, Tuesday all day

When you're pregnant with a half-alien, half witch/Whitelighter baby, regular prenatal care just wasn't going to cut it. Which was why Isabel and Wyatt had been making regular trips to the more alien friendly future for the last nine months.

But now the big day was here and Miss Victoria Maureen Halliwell was ready to make her appearance.

Savannah was definitely pacing a bit out in the waiting room as she waited to hear news. She wanted to be in there with her "big sister", but thus far, she hadn't been able to duck past people and go see Isabel and Wyatt.

Bridge was here, of course. He hadn't quite progressed to pacing, but there was a lot of bouncing one knee up and down and glancing over in the direction of the delivery room.

Jen, unlike Bridge, was pacing. Hands tucked carefully behind her back, precise and measured strides, exactly ten strides one way, a sharp turn, ten strides the other way.

It was her way of dealing with A) the nerves and B) how perturbed she was at herself for being so twitchy about this.

She'd mostly learned to relax, but, well . . .

Xander was... Xander. Which meant that given the lack of deserving people to be sarcastic at or things he could hit with some sort of metal-headed tool, he'd been reduced to fiddling with his phone.

"Somebody needs to help me eat these," he said, waving his phone at the large pile of Twinkies on the waiting room coffee table. Well, the large ziggurat of Twinkies; every so often he'd stop thumbing the glowy blue button on his phone and use the results to add a couple more levels to his creation.

"Dear God, no," Parker said, pacing her way around the room. "I'll throw them up, I'm too wired."

There was so much pacing going on. Piper was among the pacers. It's what she did when she was anxious. She was also so excited about her first grandchild...at age twenty-five.

Okay, so maybe there was a bit of freaking out about that, too. Just a little.

Phoebe wasn't pacing. She was curled up in a chair and doing her best not to pace. This meant she was picking at the arm of the chair as she battled with her shields and kept an eye on everyone.

Wyatt was glad they weren't at the Manor for this. Not that he thought they really needed a hospital, since if anything went wrong, he had his Whitelighter abilities. But at least this hospital was better for unexpected wacky whitelighter-alien-witch baby hijinks.

Mainly he was glad because he knew what happened when a baby was born in the Manor, like he and Phoebe had been, and he really didn't want some evil future incarnation of his daughter showing up one day. Of course, if they sent her to Fandom High, that was practically guaranteed to happen.

"You doing okay?" he asked for the 10,000,000th time.

Being in Newtech City was a relief. It's not that Isabel had been worried about anything medical. Between Wyatt and in an extreme emergency, Max - who was waiting anxiously at home with their parents- they had any medical emergency covered. No, she was relieved because she'd heard the stories of past births at the Manor and was relieved they were avoiding any wacky shenanigans or property destruction that Isabel would have to alien-fu to repair while taking care of a newborn. Priorities. Isabel had them.

"No," Isabel grumbled. "Because this stupid level is impossible."

Guess who was playing Candy Crush in between contractions.

"She's gorgeous," Savannah told her adopted siblings when she saw Victoria. "It's good to see her so small and relaxed."

"For now," Isabel grinned, cuddling the baby close. "But I'm sure she'll be willing to demonstrate her lung power at some point soon."

"Do you want to hold her?"

Parker was still pacing impatiently, looking like she wanted to go out for a cigarette for the first time in years when they announced the baby had arrived.

"Finally." You'd think she'd given birth to Victoria herself.

"These things take time," said the nurse as she lead Parker back towards the happy family.

Isabel looked up and smiled. "So, ready to meet your namesake?"

"Tell me you didn't name her Maureen," Parker said, but couldn't help grinning hugely. "...unbelievable." Her voice has softened a little.

Piper quietly made her way into the room, all smiles. "Hey. How are you doing? Both of you?"

That's when her eyes immediately went to the tiny baby, awww.

"We're perfect," Isabel replied. "And there's a little girl here who wants to meet her grandmother."
