Outside Meerkat Cabin for now

After trying out for a cheerleading position and then laughing with Aeryn at John and Greg's antics, and talking to Elizabeth, Isabel returned to Meerkat and took a long nap. She finally ventured out again as the sun was going down. Stopped on the steps overlooking the other cabins, she tried to figure out where to go. She wasn't looking for anyone in particular, really.

[ooc: locked to someone in particular]

"See, I'd agree, but it's a really nice theme park," Greg assured her.

"I see," she chuckled. "No tacky souvenier shops then? Selling little plastic gnome salt and pepper shakers?"

"Look. we made it," she said as they rounded a bend in trail an the clearing they'd visited earlier came into view in the fading light.

"And we didn't get eaten by giant gerbils or anything," Greg said brightly. "Officially the best day I've had in awhile."

"Ah yes, the rodents of unusual size are always a danger," Isabel laughed. "I do have to agree though, best day in a while."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"I mean, it's not every day you avoid both the wrath of gnomes and enormous gerbils," Greg said earnestly, grinning. "That alone would make it a somewhat awesome day."

Yes, he was babbling.

Not so much with the caring, no.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Laughing, Isabel tugged his hand and pulled him over to the rock they'd sat on the last time they were here. "We also managed to avoid any chainsaw wielding psychos that might be wondering around. Anything afer that? Strictly icing on the cake, or possibly the cherry on top of the sundae."

If asked, Isabel would agree that babbling is very good.

"Maybe sprinkles," Greg speculated, happily allowing himself to be tugged as he sat down on the rock. "I'm a fan of sprinkles. They just make everything better, really. "Except random stuff. Sprinkles on like, a cheeseburger would be kind of weird."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"Just like tabasco on cookies?" she asked with a grin.

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"No, no, that's not weird," Greg said. "That's interesting and kind of cutely strange."

And then there was more blushing.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The sun had pretty much set by then so Isabel didn't notice the blush in the darkness. If she did, well it would have matched her own. "It's all part of the alien package," she said, before continuing quietly. "I wasn't sure you'd want to deal with that.

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Greg smiled at her a bit dorkily and squeezed her hand. "It's different, yeah. But that doesn't mean it's bad. And I like you, alien or not."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
There was a moment when she considered pointing out all the things that could be bad. Things like friends that turned out to enemies, the possibility she might have to leave suddenly, but instead she smiled and bumped against his shoulder, concentrating only on the moment and being happy. "Good, because the feeling's pretty mutual."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I'm just a boring old human, in case I didn't tell you," he confessed. "Not a giant gerbil in disguise or a really big gnome here for the them park."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-29 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"I would never use the word boring to describe you," she laughed. "And I'm very glad you're not a rodent or gnome in disguise. That would just be too odd. Although if you were a gnome, I might want to visit the theme park with you."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
"We're too big," Greg said sadly. "Though I suppose there might be a shrinking device around here somewhere. Maybe on the sixth floor."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Woe," Isabel replied just as sadly. "We could always ask Bridge to build us one. Even if it didn't work, we'd still have something that would probably dispense the candy of our choice."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
"It'd have to be teeny-tiny candy," he speculated. "Because otherwise we couldn't eat it when little."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Wee red hots maybe? Because they have that whole sweet and spicy thing going on," she grinned. "Or what would you prefer?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Red Hots are good. Or, you know, anything chocolate," Greg said. "Maybe with Tabasco on it for you."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Mmm.. Brownie bites. With Tabasco. Heaven."
