Room 406, Late Afternoon, early evening

Isabel's spent the afternoon in the common room kitchen handwavily cooking dinner. Now everything is carefully arranged on covered plates, ready to be reheated at the appropriate time. There's a blanket and candles set up picnic style on the floor. But for now, Isabel's playing solitare on the laptop while she waits for Greg to arrive.

When her email blinked, she smiled when she saw the message.

Focused on warm skin and the pulse jumping under her lips, Isabel was still totally aware of where Greg's hands weren't moving. She smiled against his neck and trailed her fingertips up his spine.

Greg shivered slightly at the touch, and moved one of his hands up to thread it through her hair.

"No pressure," he murmured, moving to kiss her ear.

"None," she said quietly, pulling back to look at him. Isabel smiled, reaching up to touch his cheek, "Just? Small steps? Please?"

"Tiny steps," he agreed, smiling. "I have plenty to explore. No need to go any further until we're both completely ready."

Isabel laughed, unable to help herself. "I've just gotten this image of you dressed as some sort sort of old time explorer, heading out to explore the unknown wilderness. Which is really odd imagery when you think about it." Her hand drifted back down and under Greg's shirt to idly draw circles on his lower back. "It's not Saturday, but you're welcome to stay tonight if you'd like."

Greg started laughing too. "Okay, really not what I meant," he snorted. He lightly touched her cheek. "And I'll stay if you want me to."

"No, I get it." She turned her face into his hand, kissing his palm. "It would be nice," Isabel admitted.

"Then stay I shall," he decided, kissing her again. "We could watch the movie...or keep getting distracted. Up to you."

"The movie would be good," Isabel said, kissing him softly. "With the occasional distraction during the really cheesy parts. Best of both worlds I think."

"Sounds like a plan," he said, nodding and planting a kiss on her neck.

"A good plan," she said. Unfortunatley it was a plan that required moving. With a small whimper, Isabel disentangled herself and got up from the bed. It only took a moment to bring the laptop over and prop it on a chair next to the bed. A minute after that, the credits started and Isabel was back, stretched out on the bed, curled into Greg's side. "Hi again," she said, nipping at his ear.

"Missed you," he said doofily, wrapping his arms around her.

"I know," she agreed. "It was a horribly long two minutes." Isabel rested her chin on chest and smiled. "I'm not going anywhere now."

"Good," he replied, kissing her temple and focusing on the screen.

[And lo, there was movie-watching and science geekery and some more making out. But all of that happened offscreen, as we have woefully faded to black.]
