Room 406, early Sunday afternoon

Once Greg had left after some morning snuggles, Isabel showered and dressed for the day before pulling out the supplies for the small surprise she wanted to work on. It wasn't quite as flashy as skywriting, but the sentiment was there. Unfortunately she quickly realized she was going to need help. After leaving some messages, Isabel started to give herself a pedicure while she waited for the calvary to arrive.

"Dead alien bits. It's pretty disgusting." She shook her head. "No, this is a physical control. The symbiote wraps around the host's spinal column and sends tendrils to invade the central nervous system, thereby allowing it to control the host's body."

"That's terrible," she said, horrified. "I can't imagine...How did you get exposed to it? Here? Is there someting we need to be aware of?"

"This particular symbiote had a grudge against me," said Janet. "She targeted me specifically. But by and large, they tend to avoid Earth. It's not something we need to worry about here."

"Can I ask how or why you have experience with aliens?" Isabel asked seriously. "Or do you need to keep secrets of your own?"

"Too many secrets for words," said Janet, smiling ruefully. "My uncle's a high-level officer in the Air Force. I ended up with a lot of experience with aliens because of him."

"Some uncles supply Xboxes and iPods, your's introduced you to ET?" Isabel asked with a grin.

"Let me guess, you met the real little grey guys?" She shook her head, at this point, Isabel is starting to think she should just invite everyone to the Crashdown for a meet & greet.

"Don't worry about it," Isabel said. "It really worked out for the best. Of course I still haven't told my brother that everyone knows. He'd freak. As for embarrassment, don't worry. I know all about it."

"We're not speaking to each other at the moment. So I think I'm in the clear," she said, rolling her eyes. "But I will keep that in mind. Personally I think if he ever showed up? I'd introduce him to Faithful first off. And let it just go downhill from there."

"Oh I have friends at home that would kill for footage like that," Isabel chuckled. "So I will definitely be prepared. I'm not sure who I should introduce him to after that. Probably Bel. And I'd hope he was cranky."

"Slap a picture of Logan on your brother's back," said Janet. "Or--ooh, better yet--tell your brother that Bel is named Blair and he loves to be asked to bounce. And then apologize to Bel after and buy him flowers or something."

Isabel laughed, "Oh yes, the picture of Logan would definitely do it. There is no love lost there." Shaking her head, she stretched. "I almost wish Angel was still around. Can you picture it? Max, meet Angel, our resident vampire."

"Oh, that would be funny," said Janet, snickering and not bothering to hide it. "Hm. Take him to Caritas and show him the zombie band?"

"Oh! That's a very good idea," Isabel nodded. "And by that point he'd need a drink. And that's very bad with our metabolism. So he'd wind up plastered. And I'd just have to encourage him to sing."

"I think that you're a little more evil than I would've given you credit for," said Janet. "I love it." She glanced at the door. "I should probably get back. I told Liz I'd check in with her after my clinic shift. I, ah, really freaked her out yesterday."

"Trust me, Max totally deserves it," she said. "Otherwise I promise, I totally use my powers for good. Mostly. Other then the occasional practical joke." Isabel nodded, "I can understand that. Tell her I said hi."

"He's your brother. Brothers always deserve it," said Janet, who'd doled out her fair share of punishment to her little brothers a long time ago. "And I will." She uncoiled off the couch and moved to the door. "Thanks, Isabel. It means a lot that you tried to help out."
