Room 406, Tuesday Evening

Figuring that watching movies on the laptop would require a bit too much togetherness for four people, Isabel had handwavily borrowed Jack's TV and DVD player. They're set up on Xander's old desk along with a bowl of popcorn and a plate of brownies. The fridge is stocked with sodas and bottled water. The DVDs arrived this morning. All that's needed is for the guests to arrive.

[ooc: locked to the double date people please. Vaguely slowish until about 7:30.]

"It's an alien thing," Isabel shrugged. "We like things with strong flavors, particularly spicy stuff. And spicy with sweet is even better. I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself though, just ask Greg."

"I thought my tongue was going to fall off," Greg said, nodding. "I was all, 'Hey, why don't I be sweet and romantic and eat what she's eating,' and I've learned that that's really kind of a stupid idea. It's not romantic or exotic. It's kind of the opposite."

"You should've tried tea," Willow said. "Tea makes everything better."

"Tea's kind of ick," Greg commented, wrinking his nose.

Peter may have been slightly aghast. Slightly may be a British understatement. "Have you ever had real tea?" he asked.

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Um, yeah," Greg said. "Like Lipton and Nestea and stuff."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
"That's not... real tea," Peter said distastefully. "I'm tempted to go make a pot now, but the movie's playing."

"It's okay, sweetie," Willow said, patting Peter on the leg. "Greg didn't mean to insult the tea's feelings."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Would you've believe I've never had a proper tea either?" Isabel sighed, "We're just deprived on this side of the Atlantic."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Peter shook his head. "That truly is sad. I shall have to make you both tea one day soon. I'm fairly certain I couldn't manage a high tea, but a regular tea, at least, could be done."

"I don't do drugs anyway," Greg said casually, nodding.

"Maybe Peter could use caffiene-free?" Willow suggested.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Isabel nodded, "Maybe on of the nice herbal blends?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Peter was shaking his head. "That herbal stuff isn't proper tea at all. It's just roots and weeds."

[identity profile] willbedone.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I can make good protective spells out of roots and weeds," Willow told him. "Mock not, or I'll start saving those for my other knights."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-08-02 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Can't you use them during the day?" Greg asked, thinking he was terribly, terribly clever.

It took a moment but then Isabel groaned. "Ouch. That one hurt." She put her hand to her chest and mimed being in pain.
