Room 406, Tuesday Evening

Figuring that watching movies on the laptop would require a bit too much togetherness for four people, Isabel had handwavily borrowed Jack's TV and DVD player. They're set up on Xander's old desk along with a bowl of popcorn and a plate of brownies. The fridge is stocked with sodas and bottled water. The DVDs arrived this morning. All that's needed is for the guests to arrive.

Greg showed up, poking his head in. "Am I first?"

"You are," Isabel smiled. "How about that?"

"Should I have brought something?" he asked worriedly. "I could go downstairs and find something."

"I've got it all covered," she assured him, leaning over for a quick kiss. "Snacks, drinks, a TV. We're set."

"Today, I told Aeryn she looks like a gecko," Greg told her. "Don't let her kill me, okay?"

"Was there a reason?" Isabel asked slowly, all the while hoping that Aeryn would remember who brought pie to her yesterday.

"We were supposed to taunt each other," he said, shrugging.

"Oh, for class?" she said, shaking her head. "It must have been interesting. Who won?"

"I did."

No, he really didn't.

"Go you," Isabel cheered. "Hopefully you didn't hurt her feelings too badly."

"I think she'll recover," Greg said, nodding.

"She's tough like that, yes," Isabel nodded. "How did your pie turn out yesterday?"

It was a totally innocent question.

"Just spiffy," Greg said smoothly.

Peter had been quite the gentleman and picked Willow up before they headed down to Isabel's room. It was possible Willow had her hand on his arm, just to make sure neither one of them got lost.

Peter may have had a different opinion of who was keeping whom from getting lost, but they made it to Isabel's room without incident so the point seemed moot.

"Come in!" Isabel waved. "There's movie appropriate food and drinks! And it's much cooler in here then it is outside."

"I'm all for that," Willow said, getting the door since, darn it, sometimes she could be the courtly one. "Hi Isabel, hi Greg!"

"Hi! How was your day? Did you understand any of what we said in scoobying?" Isabel asked. "In theory I said I kidnapped Jeramiah."

"I have no idea how Xander does that class without getting a headache," Willow said. Reminded, she looked around. "Oo - this was his old room, right? Did you change much? It seems neater than he'd keep it. Plus I'm not seeing those boxes he'd use to hide those men's fitness magazines because he was so embarassed for people to find out he was trying to build muscles like the football team's."

"It was," she nodded. "His bed's become a couch but other then that it's pretty much the same as it was. We worked out an agreement to keep things pretty neat most of the time." Isabel blinked, "I never saw those. Unless that's what he kept under the bed. Oh wait, no. That was the porn. There's limited storage space."

"Usually he hid them near his school books since, you know, not like he used those most of the time," Willow said, not without affection. "So what movie are we going to see first?"

"I've got them both. Awake in the Pacific Northwest or Evening Commute," Isabel said holding up the DVD cases. "What do you guys prefer?"

"I've not seen either," Peter said like that should be a surprise. "Therefore whichever you girls would like." He glanced at Greg. "Unless that's a bad idea?"

"I'm fine with letting the girls choose," Greg said with a slight nod to Peter. "On the condition that we get to do our own running commentary? Otherwise our testosterone will slowly be siphoned into the television and really, no one wants to see us with high estrogen levels."

"Definitely no one does," Peter said with a definite nod. "Or we'll end up doing our nails next, and that couldn't be a pretty picture."
