Room 406, Tuesday Evening

Figuring that watching movies on the laptop would require a bit too much togetherness for four people, Isabel had handwavily borrowed Jack's TV and DVD player. They're set up on Xander's old desk along with a bowl of popcorn and a plate of brownies. The fridge is stocked with sodas and bottled water. The DVDs arrived this morning. All that's needed is for the guests to arrive.

"Was there a reason?" Isabel asked slowly, all the while hoping that Aeryn would remember who brought pie to her yesterday.

"We were supposed to taunt each other," he said, shrugging.

"Oh, for class?" she said, shaking her head. "It must have been interesting. Who won?"

"Go you," Isabel cheered. "Hopefully you didn't hurt her feelings too badly."

"I think she'll recover," Greg said, nodding.

"She's tough like that, yes," Isabel nodded. "How did your pie turn out yesterday?"

It was a totally innocent question.

"Just spiffy," Greg said smoothly.

"Really? Do you have any left? Because maybe you can bring it up for dessert tonight," she suggested.

"Oh, no, I ate it all," Greg said immediately. "I was hungry, you see."

"And you still maintain that lean frame? I'm impressed." Isabel grinned, "I shared mine with Aeryn."
