I Just Want To Be Normal

After getting back to his room, and hearing Izzy's message, Jack immediately made his way to the fourth floor and knocked quietly on her door.

[and I'm going to be erratic liek woah, just so you know.]

"Hi!" she smiled. "Did you get my message?"

From:

"Message? There was a message?" Jack grinned and leaned on the door frame. "I was just draw irresistibly to the fourth floor by your radiance. It's like a siren song."

From:

Isabel snickered, "You might be drawn to the fourth floor but I think it's because of the person in the room down the hall."

From:

"The person you're running off to Mexico with?" Jack straightened and grasped her hand, tucking it against his chest and fluttering his lashes at her. "I was forced to confess my secret love for you in the hopes of getting him to take me with you."

From:

"Ah yes, our trip. Sadly it's going to have to be postponed a bit." Isabel stepped closer and rested her head against his chest. "But I don't have a problem with you coming with us. I'll be the envy of every woman there with two such handsome men on my arms."

From:

"And most of the men, probably." He slipped his arms around her and rested his chin on her hair. "I'd be worried for my safety, though. People would be plotting to bump me off and take my place."

"They'd have to come through me first," she promised, wrapping her arms around his waist and squeezing him gently.

From:

Jack laughed and hugged her tightly, then let go and walked over to sprawl on her bed. "Always looking out for me. Is someone going to be loooking out for you while you're in LA?"

"Angel will," Isabel assured him. "He's good like that."

From:

"This is Angel that I made out with? Parker told me about it," he explained, grinning hugely. "Apparently I wanted him as a Christmas present. Tell him I said hi. And if he doesn't look after you properly he might find me on his doorstep."

Greg showed up, looking woeful. "Something came up?"

From:

"I don't know if I heard that story," she grinned, picturing the pretty. "I will though. And you won't have to. He'll take care of me. But you better stay out of trouble while I'm gone."

"I don't know about that. If I stay out of trouble, you might think I don't need you and stay in LA forever." Eyes twinkling, he sighed sadly. "And then I'd pine away from loneliness."

"Angel needs my help," Isabel said. "And I owe him one. So off to LA I go. I'm sorry."

From:

"Never," Isabel said firmly. "I'll be back. You pining away is too sad a fate to comtemplate."

Greg bit his lip, stepping in and kicking the door behind him. "What kind of help?"

From:

"Dreamwalking. There's a demon but before he can kill it, I'll need to dreamwalk it, or the victim, I'm not sure yet. I'll find out the details when I get there." She stepped closer to Greg, reaching out to rest a hand on his arm. "I'll be fine. Angel will look out for me."

Greg still looked stubborn. "He better. And other people, too. One guy isn't enough to watch your back against a...demon."

From:

"Trust me, I won't in any danger. Dreamwalking is perfectly safe," she explained. "It might be scary, but someone's dreams can't hurt me."

"Uh huh but there's still an actual demon running around, right?" Greg asked. "This Angel guy better take care of you. Or I'll go and find him and make his life miserable."

"If you don't, I'll come and find you," Jack warned. "Could be fun. I don't think I've ever been to LA." He rolled onto his back and looked up at her curiously. "Why are you going, anyway?"

Isabel chuckled and hugged Greg. "Funny, he said the same thing this morning when I was telling him about you. Don't worry though, Angel is more then capable of watching out for me while he deals with the demon. He's a vampire after all, he's got that speed and strength thing going for him."
