A unexpected phone call had changed Isabel's plans for at least the weekend. After all, there's no sense in going to LA and not spending some time there. She hung up with Angel and then made a call to arrange transportation. That done, she made a few more calls to let people know she'd be out of town.

Phone calls made, Isabel pulled her bag out from under her bed and started to pack.

The door's open.

Greg bit his lip, stepping in and kicking the door behind him. "What kind of help?"

"Dreamwalking. There's a demon but before he can kill it, I'll need to dreamwalk it, or the victim, I'm not sure yet. I'll find out the details when I get there." She stepped closer to Greg, reaching out to rest a hand on his arm. "I'll be fine. Angel will look out for me."

Greg still looked stubborn. "He better. And other people, too. One guy isn't enough to watch your back against a...demon."

"Trust me, I won't in any danger. Dreamwalking is perfectly safe," she explained. "It might be scary, but someone's dreams can't hurt me."

"Uh huh but there's still an actual demon running around, right?" Greg asked. "This Angel guy better take care of you. Or I'll go and find him and make his life miserable."

Isabel chuckled and hugged Greg. "Funny, he said the same thing this morning when I was telling him about you. Don't worry though, Angel is more then capable of watching out for me while he deals with the demon. He's a vampire after all, he's got that speed and strength thing going for him."

Greg was just fine hugging her until she mentioned the vampire thing.

Then suddenly he was hugging her a lot more tightly. "He's a what?"

"He's a vampire," Isabel said, nuzzling his neck. "A souled vampire. Who's very sweet, and nice. He's also a good friend. Even if he is incapable of picking up a phone just to say hi."

"...like a giant version of Rory's dog?" Greg asked Isabel's hair. "So he'll keep you safe?"

She giggled, "He's not quite as hyper. In fact if you look up stoic or broody in the dictionary, you'd see Angel's picture." Isabel started walking backwards towards her bed, tugging Greg with her. "He'll look out for me. Promise."

"And you won't put yourself in danger on purpose?" Greg asked, happily going with her. "No heroics?"

"I had enough heroics with with the mummies," Isabel said. "Angel's the hero. Complete with prophecies and a destiny of his very own. He can deal with danger." She sat down on the bed and pushed herself back to lean against the headboard. "I just feel bad leaving here. Leaving you," she admitted quietly.

Greg offered a small smile. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me. And if it'll make you feel better, I'll stay out of Aeryn's and Anakin's and Callisto's way while you're gone."

"It will. Even though I'm not sure I want to know why you have to avoid Aeryn." She took his hand and started to massage it gently. "I just feel bad because I'm leaving and the session is almost over."

"But that's not that big a deal," Greg murmured. "And you won't be gone that long, right?"

"Hopefully I'll be back by Sunday," Isabel said, lifting his hand and kissing his fingertips. "I'll do my thing, Angel will do his thing. I'll harass Logan a bit, we'll have dinner and then I'll come home."

"And you'll be in touch?" he ensured, watching her.

"My cell plan doesn't cover changes in dimensions unfortunately," she said sadly. "But I'll try to steal Angel's. He'll just have to deal." She turned his hand and placed a kiss in his palm. "I'll miss you."

"Stay?" she asked, bringing her hands up to cup his face.

"You'd have to beat me away with a cricket bat," Greg told her between kisses, scooting closer and wrapping his arms around her.

"You're safe then," Isabel smiled, kissing her way to his ear. "I don't have a cricket bat."

"A baseball bat would work, too," he told her, burying his face against her neck.

She nibbled at his earlobe, then placed a kiss right behind it. "Huh, I don't have one of those either. Guess I'm stuck with you."

"It's okay. I'm well-behaved and I don't take up much room," Greg said softly, kissing along the curve of her throat. "And I'll make it worth it to keep me around."
