"It was a close, close thing. I almost committed a one-woman massacre when I was subjected to a trial by the Black Rock City Fashion Police." Parker's still never getting over that. "The heat slowed me down too much to retaliate properly. And hi, how are you?"
"There were megaphones and wigs and chaps. Let us never speak of it again," Parker said, shuddering and settling back into her air mattress. "And... yeah. I may have committed to going next year. God help me. You're coming with me to prevent atrocities, right? Zero just laughs when I do that, you know it."
"It did have its moments of insane luxury," Parker admitted. "The Ashram Galactica was like being kidnapped into a really nice harem. The food was awesome, everywhere. I got three pedicures, henna tattoos, and my hair done. And the music was a blast. Plus? I got to observe skydiving from the plane. Way. Too. Fun."
"It wasn't boring." Which is the worst of all cardinal sins in Parker's book. "Ohhh, yes. How many brain breakages? What's the newest cute guy ratio? Anyone giving Steve Peter something to worry about?"
"There's a lot of pretty. Lee Adama's back. Or at least a version of him. I haven't talked ot him so I don't know," she said. "The arms are still very nice. I saw them in Next Top Runway Model Class."
Isabel waited a moment for Parker to process that particular class name. "Shut up. There's pretty!"
"Oooooo. Leeeeeee." Yeah, that was a definite growl. "I am *so* sad I'm not there to check for Apollo-ness. Although the Lee I knew so well should have graduated by now." She blinked. "Wait. Runway Model?"
"A momentary lapse of sanity on my part," Isabel said, laughing a bit herself. "But Peter's in the class. And Lee, and Johnny, and Dean. Of course it's being taught by Ares. So there's going to be leather."
"Now you're just making me homesick for Fandom," Parker pouted. "Although I did see a lot of hot nearly-naked guys last week. With fire!" This was an important part. "What else are you taking? Zero and her roomie are off at their film history class at the moment, I think." She yawned, and settled down into the cool, cool sheets again. "Wait. Are you going to have to do the catwalk?"
"More then likely. I'm just going to be fierce," she replied. "And make Tyra proud. I'm also taking Alternative Tactics and Keeping Your Wits with Dr. Wilson. And I have a new job."
"Really?" Parker said, intrigued. "One of the few things that place didn't have was really good shopping... You think we could get time to visit it when I'm there for Homecoming?" She grinned. "Maybe use your employee discount?"
"Perfect. Although I'm hitting Rodeo when Zero's in classes off and on. And checking in on my imposter at Chateau Marmont." Parker got out of bed, and contemplated going outside to work on her tan while it was still warm.
"Sounds logical. Check up on your imposter and run up the charge card bills to back it up," Isabel nodded. "Gee Daddy, I'm sorry I ran up ten grand worth of shoes at Manolo's. I didn't mean to."
"I needed those Jimmy Choos, Daddy. They were an important fashion emergency, and then I saw the latest Louis Vuitton, and it was an imperative." Parker grinned, and finally climbed out of bed, stretching. "I doubt he's checking up, or anyone else is, but good espionage habits form early. Even if I get caught, I'll just 'fess up that I wanted my privacy. They won't think much of it the next time I do it."
"There you go." Although Isabel wished she didn't have to be that cautious with her own father. "And here I was worrying about you. Have you seen Angel yet?"
"Nope. I have to give him a call, actually. Logan too. We're hoping we can visit near the end of the month. I have horrible suspicions about what else Zero's going to drag me into before I'm out of here." Parker shook her head, smirking a little. "But I want to visit them in case they don't make it to Homecoming. It's been too long since last New Year's anyway."
Laughing, Isabel scratched at Annie's ears. "That is important. I wouldn't want to see you wasting away out there. Especially after your week of roughing it."
