Room 406, afternoon into evening

Isabel has not been having the best time of it the last week or so. There'd been the horrendous trip to LA, coming back to find out that Jack was in trouble, and then fighting with Greg. The only thing that could make things worse would be a call from Max with more of his particular brand of stupidity.

Too keyed up to even attempt sleep, Isabel sat on her bed and floated the nerf balls from the day at the beach with Cedric and Jack through the air in a complicated pattern. It was easier to focus on that then think about how closely the argument she had with Greg paralleled why everyone was mad at Jack.

The door was open.

Isabel smiled, "She wouldn't let you have the excuse, 'gee I missed my portal' would she?" Sliding forward to sit on the edge of the bed, she reached for Xander's hand. "You'll tell me when you're leaving right?"

"Huh, I never thought of that - think it would work?" He was...mostly...joking. "Yeah, of course I'll tell you." He reached into his pocket with his free hand, and pulled out his new toy not dirty. "And I can call and e-mail, once I get home, too. Bridge fixed this up like he did with Angel's blackberry thing, so I can call home from here, or the other way around."

"No. She'd kill you," Isabel said firmly. "And that would be bad. But yay Bridge! I used Angel's last week to call back here a few times. It was useful." She grinned, "Does this dispense candy?"

Xander grinned and pressed the button on the front. "Better." A perfectly wrapped Twinkie dropped into his hand.

Isabel eyed the twinkie. Isabel eyed the phone. Basically Isabel boggled. "Damn, he's good."

"...Yeee-ah, I'm not thinking too hard about it. Mostly because it hurts my brain." Xander smiled a little goofily at the phone, though, and dropped the Twinkie on Isabel's desk.

"I think I might have to get one of these for Christmas," Isabel laughed. "Or else get one for my dad. Do you think Bridge can make one that dispenses gummy bears?"

"At this point I'd believe Bridge could make one that dispenses mochaccinos, if it wouldn't be too messy."

"I've seen the waffle-making laptop. How hard can mochaccinos be?" she asked. "I doubt they'd be much messier."
