Isabel's in her room reading Crown Diamond and enjoying the idea of not having anything to do for the next few days.

The door's open and she's completely interruptable.

"I don't believe so, no." He nods for her to continue. "Laundry strike?"

"The washing machines in the laundry room went on strike back in April," Isabel explained. "They were holding peoples' clothes hostage. Somehow the administration negotiated and end to the strike but there was an unknown payment. The day after the strike ended, peoples' clothes magically disappeared from their body, leaving them in thier underware. Often in the middle of the hallway."

"That..." He doesn't finish his thought and ends up laughing instead. "Oh, that's terrible. Were you affected?"

"Thankfully no," Isabel said gratefully. "Being caught half naked in the hallway is not my idea of a good time."

"Mine either," he agrees. "But, I'm sure there was some fun had."

"If you appreciated a good flail? Then there was huge amounts of entertainment to be had."

"Yes, I'm quite glad this school hasn't deemed it necessary to show me off to everyone as of yet," Cedric says and laughs again.

"But think of the joy you'd bring to the student body. How can you not want to do that?" Isabel teased.

"I could say the same to you," he teases back. "Besides, I already participated in shirtless day and that was when I knew no one."

"I wore a bikini at the Fourth of July party!" she pointed out. "I can't wear much less then that without being arrested for indecent exposure."

Isabel chuckled. "I remember shirtless day. It's a fine school tradition."

"So you say," Cedric says. "I remember being quite cold."

"I remember. You needed hugging," she said. "It was pretty."

[Alas RL calls. I'll be back after lunch most likely.]

"Why, Isabel, enjoying yourself at my expense?" He grins and shakes his head at her.

"But I really didn't know you then," she said, eyes twinkling. "I would never, ever, ogle a friend like that."

"Why not? Did I look weird?" Cedric asks, eyes shining but face as serious as he can manage.

"Oh no, far from it," Isabel chuckled, blushing faintly. "When I say ogle, I mean that in the best possible way."

"See, you say these things to me and it makes me want to go get my broom and fly us to Mexico as soon as possible," he says, smiling again.

"But what about the cabana boys?" She thought about it for a moment. "Oh the hell with them, they can fly coach and meet us there. We'll fly Air Cedric."

"Exactly," he agrees with a wide smile. "And if they get lost along the way leaving us time to enjoy ourselves under the sun, well...we'll pretend to be sad."

"Yes, woe, I would be all sad," she giggled. "Then I'd order another margarita and reapply my sunscreen."

"And, of course, would entertain you with spells of might and magic!"

Isabel got to her feet and held out her hand. "That's it. Grab the broom. We're out of here."

"Brilliant," Cedric says, climbing to his feet. "We can just leave really detailed notes to everyone else?"

"Oh. That might be a problem," Isabel frowned. "I promised Greg I'd never leave him with just a note again. I'm going to have to tell him to his face and then he'll be sad that I'm leaving him." Dropping back to her bed, she sighed dramatically. "The world is conspiring against us."

"Oh dear," Cedric says and sits back down beside her. "A recorded letter? So he can see your face?"
