Room 406, Wednesday evening

Isabel tried not to think about the ongoing election, or, more importantly, Monday night's conversation with Jarod. Instead she focused on a successful first day as a library aide and Annie as she chased a balled up piece of paper around the room.

The door was open although a chair was blocking it to prevent a wee kitten from escaping.

"Well in that case," Isabel whispered, "Yay soap and water." Running her fingers into his hair she kissed him gently.

Greg purposely rubbed his nose against hers, trying to get as much paint on her as he could.

Mindful of the still open door, Isabel reluctantly pulled back. "My nose is blue isn't it?" she laughed.

"Only kind of," Greg said. "It's all adorable! You look frostbitten!"

"And I suppose you'd be willing to warm me up?" she asked.

"It's my duty," Greg said solemnly.

"But then I'd wind up with more blue paint on me. And I'd look hypothermic," Isabel pointed out seriously.

"Which means I'd have to warm you up more," Greg replied.

I'm starting to like this plan," she said as she rubbed her nose and then shook her head at the paint that came off. "Except we need to do something about the open door. I really don't think I'd like the pirate selling video."

Greg helpfully leapt up and shut the door. "That was a very difficult thing for me to take care of. It's good I'm around for this sort of thing."

"I do keep you around for more reasons then just door closings," Isabel laughed. "I'm trying to think of one right now."

"I'm entertaining," Greg tried, returning to his spot on the floor.

"Highly," she agreed, scooting a little closer. "And you have interesting hair."

"That I do," Greg agreed. "And I'm, you know, adorable."

Isabel rubbed her thumb across his cheek, smearing the paint a little. "Very adorable. Especially blue like this, all you're missing is a white hat. Then you'd look like a smurf."

"Do you think smurf endorsements would help with the vote?" Greg wondered.

"I think so," she nodded. "Most people like the smurfs."

"Some people are frightened by them," Greg said.

"Some people are silly," Isabel said. "They're sweet, cute and loveable. Just like someone else I know."

"Aeryn again?"

"Yes, Aeryn." Laughing, she reached over to tickle his sides.

"Ack!" Greg squirmed away, laughing. "Noooo tickles!"

"Yes tickles," she said, still reaching for him. "It's fun." Of course squirming might lead to overreaching which could lead to falling.

Greg really had to take her with him.

Isabel went willingly, even if it meant she'd end up blue. "Hi," she said from where she ended up, sprawled across him on the floor. "We fell."
