Disneyland, all day

Isabel had tried to be mature and blase about going to Disney. But by the time they'd gotten their tickets, gotten into the park and were standing on Main Street, she was pretty much bouncing with excitement. "Okay, where do you want to go first?"

Aeryn knows how to be polite, so she asks, "Are you sure?" Though she's still sitting right by the blaster anyway.

"You're much better with a weapon," she said. "I'll feel better with you protecting me from Zurg."

"He's the evil emperor and he's looking to take over the galaxy," Isabel explained. "Your job is to help Buzz Lightyear and Star Command defend it."

"And of course I have no experience with that," she says, looking everything over to make sure she knows how it works.

"Nope, none at all." Isabel pointed to the small reflective targets mounted pretty much everywhere. "You just need to shoot them. At the end of the ride it'll tell you how well you scored."

"I thought you would." Of course that would be when Isabel reached for the controller and sent the car spinning around.

As soon as Aeryn starts seeing targets, she aims and shoots, and she's got pretty good aim. If she misses one or two at first, it's really only because she's getting used to it. "I like my pulse pistol better," she notes.

"I can see why," she laughed. "Somehow that's a pretty bulky piece of plastic."

"That's true. There's no destruction. But think of it as a shooting competiton." Isabel pointed behind them to where John was shooting as Cedric spun the car. "I bet you'll get a better score then he will."

Still aiming carefully as she takes her shots, she says, "There was a question?"

"Good point," she backpedaled. "You're going to annihlate him. Possibly even set a new ride record."

"So what do you think of Disney so far?" Isabel asked. "Have you met Mickey yet?"

"Mickey Mouse, the reason for this whole place," she explained. "There's a spot in the park where you can meet him and get your picture taken with him."

"It's an important souvenier of the trip. Just think, you could put it in a frame when we get back to Fandom," she said.

Isabel realized that there's a good chance Aeryn was going to kill her, but this was a lot of fun. "Or if you'd like we can see if we can find some of the princesses. Pictures with them are very popular."
