Room 406, late afternoon

Isabel wasn't certain what time she finally got home after prom night. All she knew was it was late and she was exhausted from dancing and excitement.

It was after twelve when she finally woke up, and much later when she finally got off the phone with her mother. Diane Evans had enjoyed hearing all the details about prom, and now that she finally knew the truth about her daughter, she liked hearing stories about her friends.

After finally hanging up the phone, Isabel opened the door to her room and stretched out on her bed to read, stopping occasionally to smile at the tiara on her desk.

"Silly," Samantha giggled. "Feebee and Cole."

"Phoebe and Cole?" Isabel burst out laughing, "That's wonderful. Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"Uh huh," Samantha said, nodding. "Benji's my twin brother, but don't call him Benji because he hates that. And there's Patience and Melinda and Portia, but they're only my half-sisters. And then there's Artemis. And Pandora says she's my sister, too."

"Benji, Patience, Melinda, Portia," she said counting on her fingers. "That's a pretty big family. I bet dinner time is noisy."

"Oh yeah," Samantha said. "But all the moms are around to help. And Uncle Anders but he gets mad when I call him one of the moms."

Isabel wasn't certain what exactly caused the facepalming. Bel apparently having a harem, or Anders being a part of it. "Anders is a mom?"

"Well, he's Artemis's other daddy," Samantha said all matter-of-factly.

It's Fandom. Isabel's heard stranger things. "Good for him," she smiled. "Has he taught you all how to play pyramid?"

"Uh huh, but Artemis is the one who's really good at it," Samantha said. "Uncle Anders gets mad at Daddy because Daddy taught Artemis to cheat."

"It's not nice to cheat," Isabel said immediately. "It's always best to play fair."

"That's what Mommy says," Samantha agreed. "But Artemis says it's only cheating if you get caught."

"No, it's still taking advantage of someone," she insisted, amused at the fact that a quiet Sunday afternoon suddenly evolved into life lessons for the apparent future kid of a friend.

"Mommy says we shouldn't use our powers for personal gain anyway, or we'll get into trouble," Samantha said, nodding sagely.

"That is very, very, very true," Isabel nodded. "I've been in trouble for stuff like that. It's not fun."
