Room 406, Late evening

After visiting and having dinner with Cedric and Aiden and then dropping Alexandria off at Jack's, Isabel had stopped by Greg's and picked up Josh. Several movies, paper clip races and a pillow fight later, Josh had finally fallen asleep.

Isabel was sprawled on her bed, wondering if she should ever try to explain this weekend to her mother.

"Oh, wow. I can't track all this." Parker stared at the ceiling, feeling completely wrung out. "I have one with Jake. Or possibly, Satan. And one with-- and you're not going to believe this, because I still don't-- Broots."

Isabel didn't snicker, she knew Parker would kill her. "That's certainly different."

"...you're trying not to laugh, aren't you?" Parker accused her.

"Who me?" she asked innocently. "This is certainly one of the more bizarre things Fandom's thrown at us."

"Blair laughed. And got a bed full of popcorn last night," Parker said warningly. "And thrown on him." She grinned a little. "They work well together, I'll give them that." She sighed. "How are you dealing with your spikey-haired wonder?"

"I'm not laughing," Isabel promised. "Josh is finally sleeping. He'll stay here tonight. Alexandria is down with Jack. It's kind of sad, she met him for the first time yesterday."

Parker frowned. "How does that happen? Jack would never leave you alone, if he knew you were pregnant." As was evidence by Sophia, and the life she'd had.

"I honestly have no clue," she admitted. "All she said was that he was off being a Time Agent and that I had no way to contact him. I guess I didn't know before he left."

"Hunh. Sophia's father is a Time Agent too, but only as of about two years ago." Parker frowned at the ceiling, thinking. "It's really annoying to have backstory from little people with no clue, you know?"

"God yes, and I don't want to ask to many questions because one, I don't want to freak her out by not knowing things she thinks I should know," Isabel sighed. "Plus there's that whole paradox thing. I've decided I'm just going to go with it. She's happy. That's what's important."

"Exactly." Parker sighed. "Some of mine are too young to understand why there are more kids here, and they're very very pouty about it. That's weird enough without getting into how did Mommy hook up with seven different daddies. Except evidently I didn't; Nick's dad, for one. He would've been born in January."

"Oh? Who's his Daddy? And who didn't you sleep with last," Isabel did the math in her head. "Last March?"

"Xander." Parker shook her head. "Figuring it out from what he says, I got pregnant, Xander left before I knew, I went away to get away from my father-- which is a theme-- and then of course, Xander wasn't in contact, because his dimension got cut off. So Nick never met him until yesterday."

"Yeah, I can see where your dad might have a fit," she nodded. "And that makes two for Xander. He and Bridge have an adorable little girl."

"Nick's over there tonight, probably meeting all of them. He seems to be dealing better now." Parker shook her head. "This is so, so, so unfair. I like sex, Isabel! This is not an object lesson I signed up to take!"

"I told Cedric it's like some really bizarre after school special," Isabel replied. "But yeah, this was the best control ever. Still, I like the idea that there's two different versions of me out there that are actually happy, that had a chance to have kids and have a family."

"Some of mine can't happen now, but... I guess. Maybe." Parker closed her eyes. "Except, I was ready to just be Aunt Parker to everyone else, and this is just-- and they're all *nuts*, Isabel."

"That's just Fandom. I'm sure when they're home, they're saner. Maybe." Isabel flippled off the room light and relaxed in the soft light from the star lamp. "If it makes you feel better, you're childless and doing a wonderful job being Aunt Parker for Alexandria. You and Cedric are too of her favorite people."

"Oddly, yes. Plus? I ran into Zero's daughter. Thank you, God, that my kids might be insane geniuses, but they don't have superpowers." She shook her head. "Want to get our kids together tomorrow? Since mine will hopefully not feel clingy and competitive, and some of them might know you too, after all."

"Superpowers?" Isabel laughed. "So she and Peter? That's too funny. And sure that would be fun. I'll get Alexandria from Jack in the morning."

"Works," Parker said in a tired voice. "I've got Revolutions in the afternoon, I'll take the ones that can behave, and leave the others at Stuff if I can't find their dads to take them off my hands. God, this has to end soon."

"I'll see you in Revolutions then. And we'll go take whoever survives and go bowling or something afterwards." Isabel frowned, wondering if the kids would even still be here in the morning.
