The bouncing is really starting to get annoying. Isabel doesn't feel like standing around the common room again tonight so instead she's sprawled across her bed watching the Food Network.

Date: 2006-02-28 04:31 am (UTC)Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 05:05 am (UTC)Xander, backpack not slung over his shoulder but cradled gingerly in the crook of one arm, entered the room and winced at the sound of the door closing behind him. His finger, forehead, and the side of his face were plastered neatly with bandages, and his hair was... sticky-uppy. And a little cripsy in places. He tossed his backpack on the desk and stared at Jeremiah for a second, just vaguely blinking, then dumped a couple of amphibi-stix into the tank before dumping himself backwards onto his bed. And wincing again.
"And the word among the people," he said, "is robots suck."

Date: 2006-02-28 02:05 pm (UTC)He made a note to stop moving. Anything. "The shop computers went whackadoo and locked us in, then made crazy robots attack us."
Re: Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 02:41 pm (UTC)She chuckled just a bit. "Notice the fact that I'm not even questioning your story? Anywhere else? I'd probably think you got the crap kicked out of you over a girl or something."
Re: Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 02:55 pm (UTC)He made a sad face. "Aspirin good, vodka bad. At least according to Doctor New Guy. Trevor, I think his name is?"
Re: Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 03:12 pm (UTC)And in no way gave him a view of her cleavage."Do you want some ice for that as well?"She pushed up to her feet and went to her desk, rummaging through the drawer until she found the bottle of aspirin. Grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge on her way past, she returned to Xander's side. "Here. Hopefully it'll help. You saved Nadia? Does this mean I have to call you hero now?"
"What else did the doctor say? Do you have to stay awake or anything?"
Re: Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 03:44 pm (UTC)YAY CLEAVAGE which Xander would totally have looked at if this wasn't in strikethrough because Mountie or no Mountie, boobies are niiiiiice."No concussion, so I don't have to stay awake; just a big ouchie bruise that brought its buddy Headache along fpor the ride at no extra charge." Xander took the aspirin and water gratefully, but shook his head over the ice. Which was stupid, and he hoped the aspirin kicked in soon, because the single pill Dr. New Guy had given him was not gonna cut it. "Hurts to touch, so an icepack would probably be more trouble than it's worth."
He downed a couple of pills with a swig of water and added, "I think mostly Sydney did the rescuing. She blammoed the robot that was going after Nadia with enough bullets to drop a rhino. Crichton and I mostly threw things at it. And I tried using the channel-changing powers on it - dunno if they worked on that one, but they made some other ones sing and dance. Which was almost scarier than the laser-fire."
Re: Later in the evening...
Date: 2006-02-28 04:11 pm (UTC)even if he might enjoy the view. "Is there anything else I can get you?""Good for Sydney," she said, shaking her head. "Should I ask what you had them sing and dance to? Or would it scar me for life?"

He grabbed his laptop off the nightstand next to his bed, and started typing up an e-mail to Willow while he a) remembered he ought to, and b) was still conscious enough to do so.
Coherency optional, of course.
