Room 406, Thursday afternoon

After going to the gym and then getting annoyed with Cam, Isabel returned to her room and attempted to study for her US Government midterm. She only had to stop occasionally to wipe her eyes.

"There's really not," Isabel said shaking her head forlornly. She sighed, looking pitiful. "It's not even a cool power. I mean seriously, your TV changing ability is at least somewhat useful."

Xander lowered his head in acknowledgement, but then looked up. "I guess it could be somebody's idea of a good time? I mean, in theory bouncing's fun. Blair sure seems to get a lot of mileage out of it."

"Blair chooses to bounce and can stop when he wants to. Me? Not so much." She shrugged, "Well with Parker and I-club working on it, I hope they'll figure out what's going on soon. I really don't want to deal with this over spring break."

"That would suck, yeah," Xander agreed. "Are you planning on the England trip?"

"Nope, I think I'm going to just hang around here and relax for a week," she said. "Although I have arranged a day trip up to Baltimore for anyone that's interested through Student Council."

"That sounds cool - I've only gone into the airport, never around the city. Also sounds potentially less exhausting than England. I'll get back to you when I figure out what possessed me to sign up for that."

"Well we're probably going on Thursday. So in theory, if you're not jet lagged to hell and back, you could come with us," Isabel said. "By the way, if you're going to be gone, I assume that I have frog detail?"

Xander coughed. "I totally was not asking with ulterior motives. Except maybe a little. If you were coming to England, I was gonna ask Ms. Calendar." He cocked his head. "Or maybe Giles, but that might be a little weird, since he's not exactly my Giles, but not exactly not."

"Don't worry, Jeramiah and I will survive just fine on our own." She grinned, "But there better be presents!"

"I'll try to bring you one of those palace guard guys, but I don't know if my suitcase is big enough or not," Xander said. With a sudden grin, he jumped up because he was totally sitting on the bed even though I forgot to say he was and gave her a hug. "Seriously, have I mentioned Best Roommate Ever in like, the last five minutes? I'd totally give up the channel-moddingchanging powers right now so you could stop bouncing if I had a clue how that would work."

Isabel grinned at the hug and hugged him back. Because OMG! She missed hugs. "A palace guard would be quite nice. But I'd settle for a t-shirt. And I do appreciate that you'd be willing to sacrifice your cool power to help get rid of my not so cool one," she said as she rested her head on his shoulder for a few seconds. She rapidly decided that Xander gave great hugs.

"Well, it's not like I've been able to change tv channels wih my head all my life, or anything," Xander said, giving her shoulders a last squeeze as he pulled away. "Except the old-fashioned way, by banging your head against the screen in the hope that if you do it hard enough, Season 6 of the Z Cases won't suck quite so bad."

Isabel grinned and leaned back against her desk, "I've tried that. It doesn't help. It only makes your head hurt."
