Judging by the sounds coming from the den, the MarioKart race was getting pretty intense. Isabel wondered if the guys would even notice if she didn't return with snacks and instead stayed hidden in the relative quiet of the kitchen for a while.

"Hiding?" Diane Evans asked when she came into the room.

"Possibly," Isabel admitted. "They're a little intense."

"Just a bit," her mother agreed. "But it's good to see them relaxed and having fun. Even if they do take beating a gorilla in a car race a little too seriously."

Laughing, Isabel nodded and starting dig in the freezer for ice cream. Maybe they'd settle down with food. "Thanks for letting us stay this weekend."

"Isabel, you're my daughter. You and your friends are always welcome. You know that."

"I know. Thanks mom."

With that a particularly loud and possibly anatomically impossible curse was heard from the den. Diane rolled her eyes and picked up the bottle of wine she'd gotten off the counter. "I heard nothing and I'm going to go join the adults on the deck. Don't let them break anything." With a final shake of her head, Diane fled.
Wyatt had turned up shortly after Isabel had called Parker and they'd had a good laugh over the thought of what would happen if they suddenly turned up at Parker's door. Valuing life and limb, they'd instead headed off to Roswell as promised to meet her family for her parents' anniversary dinner.

It had been a wonderful evening, surrounded by family and friends. Which only got better when she'd gone to sleep late that night curled up with Wyatt, content with their plans for the next day.

Plans that were no doubt going to change after a wee Isabel woke up, stared at the boy in her bed for a long minute and then screamed.

"MOMMY!!!!!"

[For the wee boyfriend and potential massive SP]
One of the benefits of the Parkers thinking of Isabel as family was that they didn't mind when she collapsed into a booth after a long morning of Christmas shopping, ordered a hot chocolate and then didn't move for a few hours while she waited for the guys to get back from their own frantic last minute shopping trip.

Head resting on her arm, she watched as Maria and Liz bustled around the crowded diner without missing a step.

She must have been more tired then she thought because suddenly her eyes closed.

This is not my wonderful life )

The guys had disappeared for the evening and Isabel was pretty certain that they were having some sort of impromptu bachelor party. Ordinarily she'd be worried about what state they'd be in tomorrow for the wedding, but she figured between Max and Wyatt they'd be able to cure any hangovers.

The bachelorette party was a little more low-key. Liz was the bride after all. Wild and crazy was not her style. Instead they were sitting in the Evans' rec room with a stack of chick flicks and enough chocolate to feed an army. Isabel found she really couldn't complain as she settled in to watch the first movie with a plate full of chocolate truffles.

Even though she was hoping for a quiet night, Isabel had her phone just in case she got a call for bail money.

Except not. I did manage to make contact. But it was only for a minute. I'm hoping it was enough though. They know where I am now. So I'm going to wait a few days and hope that they try and get in touch with me.

If anything changes…if I leave, someone will let you know.

Isabel had hoped to approach Brody on her own. It would have been simpler, more discreet, and probably less stressful. But that plan got outvoted by Maria and Liz, Kyle and all the parents. It was the only reason a wary Brody was watching as Maria paced about the UFO Center and Liz eyed the recreated alien autopsy with distaste.

"I've been put under hypnosis before. It's never helped me remember anything about my experiences," Brody told them, looking as if he was ready to bolt.

Isabel sighed, 'This would be different. I have a gift. Um... I'm a little psychic.' )
