Room 406, evening

Aside from being social and cooking on Friday morning, answering a letter and talking to Jaina today, Isabel had had a mostly quiet weekend as she worked on finishing up her college applications. They were finally done and stacked neatly in a pile on her desk, ready to be mailed in the morning.

To celebrate, Isabel flipped on the TV and got ready to watch the premiere of The Amazing Race. She'd missed Phil Keoghan.

The door was open.

"When it's twenty degrees out? In January? I may never let you leave," Isabel warned. She was fairly certain the soothe and comfort comment was a line. But she'd give him an A for effort. "So are you going to soothe and comfort me?"

Wyatt pulled her close against his chest. "Of course," he said. "It would be a pleasure."

"Mutual even," she murmured, turning her head to drop a series of kisses along his collarbone.

"Mmmmmm," Wyatt said contentedly. "That's nice."

"So in other words? Don't stop?" Isabel asked between kisses. Not that she planned on stopping, but sometimes it helps to make sure.

"Definitely don't stop," Wyatt said, squirming a little.

"Okay then," she said with a soft laugh.

And she didn't.

Slowly and throughly Isabel kissed her way to Wyatt's neck, stopping occasionally to nip or sometimes drag her tongue across a particularly appealing spot.

Wyatt groaned a little, then reached out to pull Isabel's head up to his so he could kiss her quite thoroughly.

Isabel sighed with pleasure and tightened her hands on Wyatt's shoulders.

He slid his hands down her back, then eased them under her camisole, caressing her skin.

It's not that Isabel's skin was normally overly sensitive. But at the moment she was hyper aware of every movement Wyatt's hands made. She caught her breath and arched against him.

Wyatt took advantage of said arching to go for Isabel's throat, kissing and nibbling at her neck as his hands continued their wandering.

Isabel ran her nails down Wyatt's back to rest against his hips. "So good," she whispered.

"Mmmmmm," he agreed. One hand started to wander away from her back, sliding around to the front of her body.

And that would be Isabel shifting just a bit to give Wyatt better access. If that put her slightly closer to his ear? These things happen.

Encouraged, Wyatt moved his hand over her stomach, tickling her lightly with his fingertips, then slipped upward in search of more interesting places to touch.

She gave the lightest of laughs and nipped at his ear.

He stiffened at the nibbling. Oh yes, there, too. He caressed her, gently but with growing excitement.

Breathless, Isabel buried her face against Wyatt's neck.

Wyatt slowly started to ease Isabel's camisole off. Couldn't hurt to try, could it?

It took her a moment to realize what Wyatt was attempting. And another long moment to decide if she wanted to let him.

Isabel pulled away and rested her hands on his. "Just this? Okay? No further?"

"Okay," he said, but he made a little sigh.

Obviously he'd misunderstood what she meant. She reached for the hem of her shirt and slowly pulled it over her head.

Ah, he'd thought she meant up to but not including the removal of clothing. He grinned at her. "Hi, there," he said softly.

"Hi yourself," Isabel replied, hating the fact that she could feel her cheeks heating up. The arm cross was pretty much instinctive.
