Room 406, later in evening

Wyatt had handwavily found Victoria at Caritas and called Isabel to tell her to meet them back at her room. After getting their daughter cleaned up and settled into the spare bed, Isabel sat down on her bed and sighed.

"This is just preview of what life is going to be like isn't it?"

"Oh..."

She wouldn't flail. It was Fandom. Just because Wyatt had another daughter, it didn't mean it would actually happen in this reality. And maybe if she kept telling herself that, she'd eventually believe it.

"Her mother is Savannah," Wyatt said. "But she's like my little sister so it's just totally weird and never going to happen."

"Just one of those Fandom things," Isabel shrugged. "I get that. Don't worry."

This was Isabel not flailing.

This was Isabel not not being a tiny bit jealous.

Wyatt pulled Isabel into his arms. "I don't feel that way about Savannah," he said firmly. "Only you."

"I know that," she said, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm just being dumb."

"It's okay," Wyatt said, tangling his fingers in her hair. "If you had another kid show up, I'd be totally flailing and jealous."

"At this point I think we're safe from any more offspring, no matter who they belong to," Isabel smiled, rubbing her cheek against his shirt. "But I keep coming across kids that call me Aunt Isabel. Which isn't such a bad thing."

"Bet they think you're the best aunt ever," Wyatt said, kissing the top of her head.

"I let them do my make-up and bought them ice cream," she said, tipping her head up for a real kiss. "Of course they love me."

"Bribery works wonders," Wyatt grinned, then kissed her.

And for a few minutes Isabel really didn't have much to say since she was otherwise occupied. But conscious of the small girl asleep in the other bed, she did reluctantly pull away just as things started to get a bit heated.

"I'd offer to bribe you, but well, small child in the room."

Wyatt gave her a pouty face. "And the disadvantage of being parents makes itself known," he snickered.

"Hopefully in the future we have our own bedroom," Isabel said, closing her eyes and leaning against him. "With a lock. Not that it matters since she can orb. But it's something."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what?" Wyatt murmured, wrapping his arms around her.

"How did you wind up with another daughter?"

She couldn't help it. She was curious.

"You know, alternate dimensions," Wyatt said, oh so vaguely.

"Where things are different," Isabel nodded, recognizing the vagueness. "I get that. What changed? We broke up? Or never got together in the first place?"

". . . not exactly," Wyatt said, trying desperately to think of a subject change.

"You had a fling?"

Not jealous.

Not jealous.

Oh hell with it.

Very, very jealous.

"I didn't cheat on you!" Wyatt flailed.

"Well then I don't get what the big secret is," Isabel flailed back, trying to keep her voice low so as not to disturb a sleeping Victoria.

"Wynter . . . she. . . ." Wyatt sighed. "She came from a world where Savannah and I never made it back from the past."

"Oh..."

So she was like Pandora Isabel realized. A little girl that didn't have a chance to exist in this particular version of reality. She felt a tiny bit guilty for being relieved by that fact.

"I don't want to think of a world where I didn't get back to you," Wyatt said.

"No. That would be horrible," she admitted. Except her over-active imagination chose that moment to point out that horrible would have been if he hadn't come back, but Victoria had still turned up. Fandom's cruel way of taunting her with what might have been.

Isabel shuddered and slid her arms back around Wyatt, holding on tightly.
