Roswell, Saturday morning
Wyatt had turned up shortly after Isabel had called Parker and they'd had a good laugh over the thought of what would happen if they suddenly turned up at Parker's door. Valuing life and limb, they'd instead headed off to Roswell as promised to meet her family for her parents' anniversary dinner.
It had been a wonderful evening, surrounded by family and friends. Which only got better when she'd gone to sleep late that night curled up with Wyatt, content with their plans for the next day.
Plans that were no doubt going to change after a wee Isabel woke up, stared at the boy in her bed for a long minute and then screamed.
"MOMMY!!!!!"

"Oh my..."
"Mommy!" Isabel cried out once more as she scrambled out of the bed and ran to her mother. "Wyatt's in my bed!"

"Well it doesn't matter who was in who's bed since it's time to get up anyway. Who feels like pancakes?"
"With tabasco and maple syrup?" Isabel asked eagerly.
Diane wrinkled her nose, still unimpressed by that particular taste combination. "Of course sweetie."
"How about you Wyatt? Do you like pancakes?"

"Yes mommy," Isabel said quietly. She didn't like time out.

"Come on downstairs then. You can set the table while I get breakfast ready." And while she called Max and Michael to come over and boggle.
Isabel was hungry so she liked the sound of that plan. "I'll race you," she told Wyatt, then turned and raced out the door.

"Okay, both of you. No powers. Otherwise we're not going to have enough dishes for breakfast." Or at least not till Max got there to fix things.
"I can fix it Mommy!" Isabel declared, then quickly demonstrated by grabbing a handful of plate shards. Possibly not the wisest thing to do.
"Ouch!"

Eyes solemn, Isabel listened to her mother and held her hand out to Wyatt.

The puppy love she'd had for Wyatt last year when he was still big, suddenly became just as strong for wee Wyatt.
Off to the side, Diane tried not to smile to broadly as she wished for her camera.

Which would be the point Max and Michael rushed through the kitchen door. Too many years of danger and worry had been triggered by Diane's brief and cryptic phone call. "What's wrong? What's going on?"

"Hi," said Max, ever so eloquently. "Mom? What's going on?"
Sometimes Max really missed the obvious.
"Apparently your sister and Wyatt have turned into little kids," Diane explained. "Guess who's going to help me keep then entertained?"
"What do you think Wyatt? Would you like to play ball with Max and Michael?"
