Room 406, Evening

Not quite up to facing the common room tonight, Isabel's in her room reading a trashy novel and occasionally wondering how she wound up with the cheerleading uniform that's currently draped over her desk chair.

Wandering down the hall from his room, Dean saw Isabel's open door and ducked his head in to say hi.

"Good book?" he asked.

"Pure fluff mostly," Isabel admitted somewhat sheepishly. "But it's entertaining."

Dean noticed the cheerleading outfit on the chair. "I see you've been talking to Buffy," he observed drily.

"I have no clue how it happened since we still need to finish playing it out, but yes apparently I'm going to be a cheerleader." She rolled her eyes, "I've done a lot of things in the name of school spirit, but this is a first for me."

"Well, I'm sure you'll make the uniform look good," Dean told her with a grin that might have been a little bit naughty.

Jack leaned in the doorway, watching her read.

"Good evening, my fair Izzy. Why do you have a tiny blue and yellow outfit on your chair?"

"Hi Jack," Isabel grinned as she tucked the book out of sight. "Because I somehow got roped into being a cheerleader. I don't know how it happened but it did. Can I just say Gah!"

"You can say 'gah' if I can say yum," he said, answering her grin with one of his own as he walked across the room to stand beside the bed. "What are you reading, Izzy?" he asked teasingly, having spotted her trying to hide the book.

"You can say whatever you like," she grinned. "Just keep in mind I might have to thwap you." Isabel smiled sheepishly and handed over the book. "Brain candy, okay? Brain candy."

Jack smiled at the garish cover. "Be careful with that," he said as he handed it back. "Too much brain candy can be bad for you." Looking down at her, sprawled across the bed, he asked mournfully, "Isn't there any room for me?"

Passing by and glancing through an open door, Sakurazaki notices a face she hasn't seen since, ohhhhh, about the second day after arrival. Due to that long hiatus, she feels compelled to hoover in the doorway, knocking on the door slightly.

"Hello...Isabel-san, right?"

"Hi!" Isabel said with a wave. "Sakura...something. I'm sorry, I can't remember what your name is exactly. But how are you?"

She chuckles. "Sakurazaki. Very close. And I'm well; how about you?"

"Doing well also," Isabel replied. "I'm catching up on my reading. Which is very educational. Really."

Her head tilts slightly as she peers in, noticing the book and trying to read what it says on the cover. She can't see it well enough, so she just asks, "And what are your reading?"

Greg, bored and not exactly in a common room-ish mood either, found himself up on the fourth floor with a small bag.

These things happen.

He smiled in at Isabel, and knocked on the doorframe.

Isabel looked up at the knock. "Hey, long time no see. What's up?"

"Hey," Greg said, smiling. "I brought you something."

From his bag, he pulled a smaller bag of cookies from J,GOB and a weetiny bottle of Tabasco.

"Because I'm curious," he said, shrugging.

The smile she'd been wearing? Got a little bigger. "Cookies? And Tabasco? That's a pretty good combination."

"Uh huh. So you say," Greg said, raising one amused eyebrow and walking in a little more. "I did some handwavey exploring earlier, and found the bakery place. And I figured that if I ran into you, I should be prepared. Hence, Tabasco."

Alanna knocked on the door jamb. "Isabel?"

"Hey Alanna! What's up?"

"Have you seen Faithful? And what's that?" She indicated the cheerleading uniform.

Isabel facepalmed, before getting up and taking hold of the cheerleading uniform. "This is a cheerleading outfit. Which I will be wearing to cheer on the school's sports team. I think I'm insane." She hung the uniform in the closet out of sight. "No, I haven't seen Faithful. Is he out looking for a sleek Siamese?"

"Cheerleading? Why is it so small? Um, the dress. And I hope not. Knowing him, he's off convincing some new student that they've gone insane."
