Outside Meerkat Cabin for now

After trying out for a cheerleading position and then laughing with Aeryn at John and Greg's antics, and talking to Elizabeth, Isabel returned to Meerkat and took a long nap. She finally ventured out again as the sun was going down. Stopped on the steps overlooking the other cabins, she tried to figure out where to go. She wasn't looking for anyone in particular, really.

"Just as long as they don't spoil the surprise," he agreed.

If his hand happened to brush against hers, it might have been an accident. But it probably wasn't.

"No of course not," Isabel said. "But the surprise is even more enjoyable if you're properly prepared for it. Hiking in heels is never fun. The same could be said for a fancy dinner while dressed for hiking."

If her hand happened to catch his, well it was dark. It wouldn't be good if they got separated.

"I'm not all that good at hiking," Greg replied. "I wouldn't want to do something difficult like that on what's supposed to be a fun date."

If he happened to squeeze her hand, well, it was dark and it would be a good idea to make sure they were aware of each other's presence and all.

"It doesn't always have to be difficult," Isabel said, smiling at him. "Sometimes it's a lot of fun, especially if you're heading somewhere special. Parker mentioned something about seals in one of the coves on the island. We could try and find them one day."

Isabel might have squeezed back. Because awareness was very important. And she was very aware of who she was with. She was also damn happy.
