Room 406, Sunday morning

Despite waking up several times still feeling the mummy's claws digging into her neck, Isabel had slept reasonably well. It had helped that each time she woke up, there was someone to hold onto as she went back to sleep. She doesn't have to be anywhere until cheerleading practice, and given how stiff and sore she feels, Isabel isn't certain she's actually going to be doing much practice. But she'll go, because she is part of the team.

For now though, she's content to doze, snuggled up next to Greg.

Words are good. But sometimes actions are better. Isabel tipped her head up and kissed him.

And Greg was never going to turn down kissing.

But.... "I should probably get back to my room," he said quietly, pulling back to rest his forehead to hers.

"True," she said just a little breathlessly. "Check on Peter and his arm." Isabel relaxed against him for a moment before gingerly pulling away and getting to her feet. "Before you go, I, um, got something for you the other day. I don't know if you'll like it or not but..." Blushing, she took the book off her desk and gave it to him.

Greg sat up, blinking at her for a second before his face cracked into a grin. "You shouldn't have. I mean, I love it, and thank you."

Isabel smiled, relieved. "I wanted to. Just...because."

He got up and went over, pressing a kiss to her cheek as he took the book. "This is awesome." He shot her a sidelong look. "Can I take you out to dinner as thanks? And, y'know, to break in the new titles and stuff?"

"That would be nice," she said, leaning into him as he kissed her. "That would be really, really nice. Just tell me when."
