Room 406, early Sunday afternoon

Once Greg had left after some morning snuggles, Isabel showered and dressed for the day before pulling out the supplies for the small surprise she wanted to work on. It wasn't quite as flashy as skywriting, but the sentiment was there. Unfortunately she quickly realized she was going to need help. After leaving some messages, Isabel started to give herself a pedicure while she waited for the calvary to arrive.

"Okay. Want to pull up your shirt?" Dawn reached for the brush, the picture, and the paint. "I think it'll look great. But what chemical is it?"

"Uh uh," she said as she mentally planned out the spacing for the design. "Too much headache and light."

Isabel pulled up her shirt, then settled her head on her hands. "It's a chemical called oxytoxin. It's called the cuddling chemical believe it or not. And," she said, reciting from what she'd memorized, "It promotes the need to be physically held, have close contact with the mate and makes both the sexes more caring. Yes, I know, it's silly."

"Awwwwwww," Dawn grinned as she unscrewed the paint. "That's sweet. And Greg's your mate now?"

"Oh my god. NO! Worlds of no!" she flailed. "That's just what the paper said. To me he's my boyfriend. That's it!"

"Sorry, it's a sensitive subject. I've spent the last two years listening to the great tormented lovestory of Max and Liz," Isabel explained with a roll of her eyes and a note of disgust in her voice. "They're soulmates across the stars."

"What are you going to do when you do see Dean? Do you think you'll mention it?"

"Oh, ugh," Dawn rolled her eyes. "Buffy and Angel're like that. Spare me."

"I don't know...I mean," she shrugged, "do you think I should?" She started painting on the basic design, deciding she'd add decorations later.

"Exactly. What we have is nice, and sweet and simple." Isabel smiled, "It's probably the most uncomplicated thing I have in my life right now."

"Maybe?" she said, trying hard not to move. Her back was way more ticklish then her ankles. "You remember it, so there's a good chance he'll remember it to. If you don't say anything it'll be wierd."

"Yay for uncomplicated," Dawn cheered. "Which I had until yesterday."

"You could always came a case of alcohol induced exaggeration," she offered. "It wouldn't be the first time someone's mouth ran away with them when they were drunk."

"Except I'm not sure it was an exaggeration," Dawn said, frowning as she had to correct a line that had come in squiggly.

"Then you really have to wait and see what he says, I guess," Isabel said. "Let him take the lead. At least that way you'll know he remembers saying it." She peered over her shoulder at Dawn, "Did you hear how Greg told, or at least showed, me?"

"Uh uh," Dawn painted again. "What'd he do?"

"Skywriting," she smiled. "A G, a heart, and an I. I thought it was incredibly sweet."

"Oh, it is sweet. So cute!" Dawn had to put the paint to the side so she could glee properly.

"It was," Isabel agreed, smiling at the memory. "And then later on he said if I substituted the word for the heart it would still be true. I told him it was mutual." She shook her head, "But we still haven't officially said the word. I think we're both too nervous."

"The word's really scary," Dawn finished off the main figure and began painting in the molecule connections. "But it's very cool that he said it first. You know he means it."

"I know," she nodded. "It's been nice just letting things just sort of progress naturally. There's been no pressure at all."

Dawn grinned. "Yeah. It's kinda nice to fly under the radar."

"Yup, the most we have to worry about is what the radio says, and that usually involves the word 'cute'. So I really can't complain," Isabel grinned back. "It's when they start using euphemisms that there's a problem."

"Euphemisms," she said. "Barbossa especially. I'm trying to think of one he's used. But basically in his mind? Anything odd, is another way of saying they had sex." Isabel looked as Dawn holding the henna paint. "I fear what he's going to say about this."

"Um, that I painted you so you could go show your naked body parts to your boyfriend?" Dawn grinned at Isabel and started painting on a butterfly. "Maybe you could tell him you were studying art?"

"In his mind? He'll be wondering if there was girlkissy going on." Isabel shook her head. "The sad thing is. If he's particularly entertaining? I'll probably laugh instead of being outraged."

"I know," Dawn grinned, adding antennae, "we let them get away with so much when they're being cute."
