I Just Want To Be Normal

Isabel shook her head and stabbed at her spicy shrimp with chopsticks. "Give me six months. Maybe I'll need you to redo it in chocolate."

Parker grinned, and carefully drew the hexagons connecting the molecules together over Isabel's ankle-bone, then the the lines leading off of them. "Although, it would probably be more fun if Greg did that part."

Concetrating carefully on what he was doing, he shot Isabel a quick smirk. "Yeah, it really needs to be painted by the one who's going to be licking it off. Trust me." Finishing the symbol, he looked over at Parker. "Do you want any extra decoration around these?"

Parker snickered, then took a look at what Jack was doing. "Put a couple leaves and moons around it. Makes it look a little less clinical." She shook her head, remembering the body paint she'd given away to Sam. "Or raspberry syrup? Depending on what Greg likes, I guess," she said, shooting Isabel a teasing look.

"I'm not saying a word," Isabel said, closing her lips in a prim line as she watched Jack work. "That's nice."

"Blueberry syrup is even better." Jack smirked again, carefully tracing a vine around the symbol he'd drawn and over the top of Parker's. "Or chocolate. Get it in a squeeze bottle, though. It makes it easier to control."

"I think you *can* take it too far, though. Whipped cream and syrups and chocolate are one thing. Anything more solid, and you should just be having dinner. In my opinion."

Isabel turned several different shades of pink. "I'm so glad I have the two of you to enlighten me on these things. I'll be sure NEVER to tell you if or when I ever put them into practice."

Jack grinned when she blushed and leaned forward to kiss her ankle, just above the henna lines. "We're always happy to help. Right, Parker?"

"Definitely. Whether it's detailing the chassis--" She started snickering, drawing an inward-turning rose next to the last hexagon, "--Or information on where to get the best, hmmm, accessories for the drive? We're happy to help."

The blush has faded and Isabel is just snickering now, which does make it a bit difficult to keep her foot still. "There are no plans for any test drives in the near future. So there's no need for accessories." She smiled fondly at them both. "So this is what it's like to have an older brother and sister?"

Parker blinked at her, wide-eyed, as she popped another shrimp in her mouth, then her grin widened. "Evidently? Although given the past that brings up all sorts of weirdness, so it's a good thing Jack doesn't remember any of it." She snickered and threw a fortune cookie at Isabel, then leaned back to admire her work. "Yay for henna. And looking like Kali of the Chemical Equations."

"I wouldn't need to remember it, if you'd just give me details," he pointed out, but he turned to Izzy, a pleased smile appearing as he traced one finger around the edge of the patterns. "This is gorgeous, not unlike yourself. Greg is going to swallow his tongue."

"I'd settle for him being mildly speechless. I'm just wondering if he's going to know what they are and what they're for." She shrugged, "I tried that's all I can say." Isabel broke open the fortune cookie and started to laugh. "Oh this is priceless. I think this cookie belonged to one of you. Commit the oldest sins the newest kind of ways."

Parker cracked up, giggling as she tried to keep from spewing Chinese food on the comforter. Jack was snickering as well.

Isabel facepalmed. "If figures you two would say that. Remember, my poor virgin ears!"

"Heee. We tease because we care," Parker said, throwing a napkin at Jack. "And we won't do this on the rafting trip... too much."

"Why am I suddenly picturing Jarod pitching one or the both of you overboard on this trip if you do this?" Isabel asked half seriously.

Almost choking on a pepper, Parker took a second to get her breath back, then said, "Oookay. Fair point." She snickered, and shook her head. "We don't want Jack to drown before we get to have any fun, do we?"

"No, we don't." Jack leaned back on the bed, nabbing a carton of peking duck and some chopsticks and looking extremely smug. "Don't forget, I've got two people that might be miffed if I drown. You two have only got one."

"And what wonderful people they are," Isabel smiled. "Did Cedric tell you I had to practically toss him from the room the other night so he would get some sleep?"

"They are, aren't they?" Jack's smile started to verge onto the beatific. "And thank you for that. He apologised for leaving me, but I told him you did the right thing."

Parker snickered. "Sweet. And we'll see if they both back you up, or help dunk you in the water if you need it."

Jack frowned at Parker, then smirked and pointed a chopstick in her direction. "You really think either of them would want to dunk me in nature's version of a cold shower?"
