Isabel's in her room reading Crown Diamond and enjoying the idea of not having anything to do for the next few days.

The door's open and she's completely interruptable.

"Because you're sweet and wonderful and going to run off to Mexico with me one day?" she said, fluttering her eyelashes rapidly.

"Oh, flattery is always nice to hear," Cedric says, grinning broadly. "And, of course we're running away to Mexico one day. This picture won't get in the way of that, I hope."

"You're also charming and adorably cute in a shaggy way," Isabel smiled. "But unfortunately we need to put that trip to Mexico off for a while. I need to stick around."

"No trip to Mexico?" Cedric frowns dramatically. "I am dutifully crushed."

"It's not cancelled," she promised. "But Greg and I are speaking, and he's sticking around for the school year so I think I need to stick around with him."

"He can't come and fetch us drinks?" Cedric asks in a completely joking manner.

"Well," Isabel said slowly. "I suppose we'd each need a personal cabana boy. I'll bring Greg and you can bring Jack?"

"That sounds like a very proactive solution to our problem of leaving them behind," Cedric decides. "A very fine plan."

"Good. I'll book tickets." Grinning happily, Isabel patted her bed. "Come, take a seat. Tell me stories."

He takes a seat and shrugs. "What stories would you like to hear on this fine night?"

"A funny story," she said firmly. "There's too much sadness around this place this week with all the goodbyes."

"Hmm." Thinking for a moment, he tries to remember something funny that's happened to him. "I once did a spell that obliterated my pants."

Isabel started to snicker. "You didn't?"

"I was young," he says in his defense. "And my underwear were clean!"

"Smily faced boxers?" she smirked.

"A man must have his secrets," he says and waggles a finger at her. "My classmates were very entertained."

Isabel chuckled. "Well now at least I know one Christmas gift for you. Just in case it happens again."

"I hope I'm more skilled now than to destroy my pants again," he says and laughs.

"Did anyone ever tell you about the laundry strike?"

"I don't believe so, no." He nods for her to continue. "Laundry strike?"

"The washing machines in the laundry room went on strike back in April," Isabel explained. "They were holding peoples' clothes hostage. Somehow the administration negotiated and end to the strike but there was an unknown payment. The day after the strike ended, peoples' clothes magically disappeared from their body, leaving them in thier underware. Often in the middle of the hallway."

"That..." He doesn't finish his thought and ends up laughing instead. "Oh, that's terrible. Were you affected?"

"Thankfully no," Isabel said gratefully. "Being caught half naked in the hallway is not my idea of a good time."

"Mine either," he agrees. "But, I'm sure there was some fun had."

"If you appreciated a good flail? Then there was huge amounts of entertainment to be had."
