Room 406, Friday evening

After all the goodbyes this week, Isabel's really not in the mood for common rooms where new faces have replaced old. Instead she pulled out the nice, generic, non-trademarked landscape puzzle she'd ordered a while ago and started to sort through the pieces.

Lowen & Navarro are playing on the stereo and the door is open.

[ooc: I'm around for about the next 45 minutes or so. Then I should be back at some point around 9:00 PST. Possibly earlier but I'm not sure what our plans our. I mean I'm in Vegas for Pete's sake. And I'm here!]

"It would probably help. Tell him I said hi, I haven't seen him around in a while," she said. "Of course I've been hiding here for the last few days."

"Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with him," Rayanne said. "Are you hiding from anything or just hiding?"

Isabel shrugged, "I don't know. I think I'm bummed about everyone leaving. And it's easier to hide in here then deal with all the new people."

It sounded like everyone on this campus was sad about people leaving, then. "But -- new people are fun," Rayanne said. "Friends, boys to check out, drinking buddies, all of that."

"I suppose," she agreed. "Although I doubt I'll be checking anyone out. Greg and I made up did you hear? And he'll be staying!" And that's where Isabel feels a little guilty, that the goodbyes have dampened the happiness she felt about Greg staying. "And I can't drink so drinking buddies really aren't an issue."

Rayanne gave her half a smile. "So basically the goodbye stuff just sucks for you. But good for you and Greg."

"Pretty much. I don't like goodbyes like these. It reminds me that someday I'm going to be the one that has to leave." She shook her head, "Sorry, but now you see why I've been hiding. By the way, thanks again for being concerned in baking. Even if I wasn't talking much, I appreciated it."

And Rayanne was back to being completely confused. "You're welcome," she said "That's what friends are for, right, um ... sweetie?"

"Exactly," Isabel agreed, mildly confused by the endearment. "And if there's one thing the last few weeks have made me realize it's that I do have some good ones around here."

"That's the most impoertant thing," Angela said. "Anyhow, I'll see you later, but it was nice to catch up and all."
