Room 406, Friday evening

After all the goodbyes this week, Isabel's really not in the mood for common rooms where new faces have replaced old. Instead she pulled out the nice, generic, non-trademarked landscape puzzle she'd ordered a while ago and started to sort through the pieces.

Lowen & Navarro are playing on the stereo and the door is open.

[ooc: I'm around for about the next 45 minutes or so. Then I should be back at some point around 9:00 PST. Possibly earlier but I'm not sure what our plans our. I mean I'm in Vegas for Pete's sake. And I'm here!]

Cheeks pink, Isabel rested her head against Greg's shoulder. "I'm glad to do my part to ensure Caritas has a happy bartender."

"I'm sure everyone appreciates it," Greg murmured, nuzzling her hair.

"They'd better. Because it's not like I'm going to let anyone else take over," she pointed out, tracing a finger down his cheekbone.

"It wouldn't have the same effect," he promised Isabel, kissing her temple.

"Nope," Isabel agreed. "Who else would do this?" She kissed him gently on the lips. "Or this?" She asked as she kissed the hollow at the base of his throat. "Or even this?" she finished as she nipped gently on his earlobe.

"I'm sure there are tons of girls who'd love to," Greg whispered a little dazedly, running his fingertips up her back. "But you're the only one I'm going to let. Don't you feel lucky?"

"Like I won the lottery," she whispered, still very focused on nibbling on his ear.

"Me too," he whispered, skimming his hands under her shirt and over her lower back.

"Feels nice," Isabel murmured, sliding her hands into Greg's hair.

"Likewise," he murmured, nibbling at her neck and letting his fingertips glide over her skin.

"Mmmmm" she sighed, her own hands sliding from his hair, down his back to rest on his waist.

"See, if my parents ever ask why I want to say, I'm going to have to come up with a reason other than this," he mumbled against her neck.

"I thought we talked about that," Isabel said with a quiet laugh. "You're staying for the academics and the baked goods." She paused and pulled back for a moment. "It's more then this though, isn't it?" she asked carefully. "More then just physical?"

"I love you," Greg said, more steadily and louder than he'd ever managed in the past. "It's more than physical."

"I love you to," she said, bringing one hand up to cup his cheek. "I love that you make me laugh. I love when you hold me and it makes everything feel better. I love that you worry about me. I love that I've never felt like this about anyone before." Isabel smiled softly. "It scares me sometimes."

Greg smiled a little, blushing. "Me too," he admitted. "And I'm right there with you on the whole 'this is new' part."

"So we'll have fun fumbling along together," Isabel said, brushing her hand over his cheek and feeling the warmth of his skin.

"Exactly," he said softly, tipping his face forward and stealing a kiss.

"It's a plan," she agreed, returning her hand to his waist where it slipped under the hem of his shirt. Lightly Isabel ran her nails up his spine.

Greg shivered a bit and returned his hands to her lower back, simply running his fingertips over her skin and marveling to himself how soft she felt.

Isabel flattened her hands against his waist. "Stay?" she asked quietly.

"You'd have to shove me out yourself," Greg said in agreement.

"Not happening," she promised. "Although we probably will want to move off the floor at some point." But not soon. Isabel was way too happy sitting in Greg's lap at the moment.

"That's true," Greg said, kissing the hollow of her throat, "but not yet."

"Oh," Isabel shivered, tipping her head up. She ran her hands up his sides, pulling up his shirt as she did so.
