Room 406, Evening

After spending the weekend hibernating, Isabel finally managed to get out and socialize. She'd met Door and talked to Jaye while hanging posters for the Student Council elections. She'd also been happy to find out that she was picked to be a library aide. It seemed like things were finally looking up after last week. Finally returning to her room, Isabel picked up her reading for Interstellar Relations and settled in for the night.

[The door's closed but knockable.]

Peter knocked. "Hey, Isabel, it's me. I have an important question to ask you."

"It's open," she called, putting aside her book.

Peter entered. "Okay, question of utmost importance: How are you?"

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Isabel smiled, "I am surprisingly okay. Thank you for asking."

"You're welcome," Petter said. "It's a question that must be asked every now and then."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
"It must yes," she nodded. "And now I'll ask, how are you?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Pretty good," Peter said. "Nothing to complain about since I got back, really. Except for not enough classes. I could use some more of those even though my player is thankful for the cap."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
"I know," Isabel the overachiever agreed. "I've got my five classes but there are a few more that looked interesting. Of course I'm also TAing for Professor Lyman, and I found out today I'll be a library aide. So I suppose I'll be busy."

"Going for StuCo again, too?" Peter asked.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm thinking about it," Isabel admitted sheepishly. "I'm pretty sure I can handle everything. Although I don't know. I didn't have a boyfriend last semester. I wouldn't want to wind up neglecting him. How about you?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't have a boyfriend, so I think I'm good to go again," Peter said.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Isabel stuck her tongue out at him.

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm too mature to respond to that. That's why I'm winning," Peter said.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
"You started it!" she protested, laughing. "I asked a simple question. You deliberately gave me the wrong answer."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
"What, so I have a boyfriend?" Peter asked, confused.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Jack has both a boyfriend and a girlfriend," Isabel pointed out. "Why can't you?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think my girlfriend would approve, for one," Peter suggested.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
"True," she nodded seriously. "There might be a malleting. So back to the original question, now expanded for clarity. Will you be running for StuCo again?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
"I answered that. Yes, I'm running," Peter said. "Without a boyfriend."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
"It's late, I missed it the first time around," she said rolling her eyes. "Are you going to run on the game night platform again?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Completely understandable," Peter said. "I have no clue what my campaign will be yet, but probably not the game nights. I'm happy to help you with them again if you get in, though."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks!" Isabel smiled. "I'm not sure I'll focus on the game nights either. I might just stick with the more generic 'You had fun for six months didn't you?' Actually longer if you count the trip to the ballgame and the Fourth of July party I arranged."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yep. We both have proof of how good we can be when it comes to getting things set up," Peter said. "We can let our actions speak for themselves."

"Our actions and cupcakes."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"True, past history and some minor bribery should work well," she agreed. "We'll have to start baking this weekend."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm not baking. I want to win, not poison the voters," Peter said. "I was thinking J,GoB."
