Room 406, afternoon

Isabel was amused to wake up and find everything back in color. She was less amused when she looked in the closet and realized that she never got a chance to wear the pretty Homecoming dress she'd ordered online. There was no sign of the mass of tulle she did wear to the dance. Shrugging at the wackiness that is Fandom, Isabel showered, dressed and then settled down on her bed with a book.

The door was open.

"Sounds like fun." Jack slipped his arm around her shoulders and wriggled until Isabel was comfortably tucked up against him. "Feel like some quiet time with Jack? Between one thing and the other," and he smiled, with barely a trace of smugness, "I didn't get much sleep last week."

"I'd offer to play teddy bear but Greg might stop by and that would be a little difficult to explain," Isabel said sadly.

"True," Jack sighed mournfully. "Ah well, I'll just go crash all alone in my hammock. Leave you to your boyfriend." He snagged his shirt and pulled it on, then hopped off the bed, kissed her on the head, and headed for the door. "Who'd better appreciate what he has," he tossed back over his shoulder.

"He does, don't worry," Isabel called after him with a fond smile. "See you later! And stay out of trouble."
