Room 406, afternoon

Isabel was amused to wake up and find everything back in color. She was less amused when she looked in the closet and realized that she never got a chance to wear the pretty Homecoming dress she'd ordered online. There was no sign of the mass of tulle she did wear to the dance. Shrugging at the wackiness that is Fandom, Isabel showered, dressed and then settled down on her bed with a book.

The door was open.

Greg blushed. Again. "I could probably make it to the store by then," he said quietly.

She bit her lip, blushing a bit herself. "It would be nice."

"Private," Greg noted helpfully.

"Yup, no shrubbery," she agreed. "Just you, me, a campfire and a whole bundle of nerves."

"I bet it's a shrinky bundle of nerves," he said. "I mean, it probably...gets less nerve-wracking, right?"

"I'm pretty sure," Isabel said, snuggling into his side. "Just based on conversations I've had."

"Guys don't talk about this," Greg said.

"Occasionally girls will," she admitted. "Particularly when advice is needed."

Greg paused, clearly thinking.

Then he decided asking Peter or John about this might very well kill him.

"Good," he finally said. "One of us should have advice."

"I should point out the advice had more to do with this conversation," Isabel said. "We might have to figure out the rest on our own."

"Then we're pretty much screwed, huh?" Greg said with a rueful laugh. "Um. So to speak."

Isabel blinked then pulled back far enough to thwap him gently. "That was terrible."

"I know," Greg sighed. "I totally deserved that."

"It was pretty funny in a really bad way," she admitted, giving him a quick kiss. "Do you have anything else to do for the afternoon? Or would you like to hang out and watch some Z-Cases? I found a torrent of the first season and downloaded it."

"Ooh, are they going to arrest you for being a pirate?" he wondered. "But no, I'm not planning on doing anything, so I'm totally staying."

"If they get me, I'm pretty sure they'll be taking in half the school," Isabel laughed. She climbed to her feet and quickly set up the laptop, then smiled as she climbed back onto the bed. "We've got twenty two episodes to go through. You could be here a while."

"Woe, for I do so despise spending time with you," he said, kissing her soundly.
